CYCLEKIDS

Thursday night New York played host to the cyclekids benefit at Tribeca Grill. This Fall marked the third year for Julianne Idlet’s brainchild

charity, which is dedicated to reducing childhood obesity through education and exercise.
The Chinatown/Bowery YMCA hosted the afternoon event which stressed bicycle safety. Team LULULEMON which holds the title as the fastest women’s team in the world represented and impressed. Elite cyclist Evelyn Stevens (Philly, Flesh-Walloon) was hands-on demonstrating her trademark moves to the kids. She was joined at each event by teammates from pro-team LULULEMON including current World Champion ITT Ellen Van Diijk from the Netherlands as well as Ina Yoko Teutenberg- the former German Champion, who is retiring after 17 years of pro-racing.
The ladies owned the night and really showed their dedication to promoting cycling to the next generation as well as sending their teammate off with a well deserved night of festivities.
The cyclekids dinner and silent auction was a great success, and we encourage the NYvelocity community to log on and help as there is always more work to be done.

Basically it’s a stupid idea that, should someone get killed blowing a light, will assure that the lawsuits take every dime Gavi ever earns. He’s a nice kid, and fast as stink, but pretty damn short on common sense.

Kinda like sponsoring the Gimbel’s ride. Do you really want responsibility for the merry band of idiots? Check the Nyack ride out these days. Cops pull them over every week.

eli, help

Anyone want to shed some light on wtf gavi’s “race to the rise” is all about? He doesn’t know jack about promoting an event.
