Some random notes:

Mike Sherry finished 4th despite losing 15 seconds at the start with a dropped chain, then crashing by the pool.

Ted ‘the wrench’ Neu did a PR and placed 6th on a two speed bike without a rear derailer cable.

Anne-Marie Miller won with a fine 29:17, while the Lipton duo of Kristen LaSasso and Margaret Schott came in with matching 30:20’s (such teamwork!).

Smiley won again, of course. Of all the people I saw after the race, he looked the most exhausted. It seems that not only is he fast, he squeezes more speed out of his potential than anyone else as well.
