Across the universe

Since NYC is the center of the universe, it’s tempting to say there’s not much going on this weekend, but that would be wrong—there is quite a bit going on, and if you leave the universe’s center you can get there.

But first, there is a nearly sold out Lucarelli and Castaldi Cup race in Prospect Park on Saturday.

Outside the known universe in Hunter, NY is the Hunter Classic on Saturday.

Also out in the unknown is the Sterling Classic Road Race, in Sterling, MA.

On Sunday, there’s the Women’s Woodstock Cycling Grand Prix in Saugerties, NY.

Be careful in the rain at Hunter!

Best of luck to all racers(female only!) at Woodstock.
Wishing for much success!

The First Weekend of L&C at Prospect is the answer to Jasper’s question, Smaller feilds and more conservative riding. The second weekend it was dry and warm and you saw what happened.

For Woodstock Women’s GP:
Pro 1/2 BritLee Bowman; but Kerrin Strevell will have a strong team behind her
Cat 3 Danielle Kosecki; but watch for Jody Frank who did well at Dragons last week
Cat 4 Jessica Meany; but watch out for Barb Blakley
Masters: Erica Adelberg (I don’t think she can be beaten…)

Good luck ladies!

came outside to walk the dog in Prospect Park. Saw riders being carted away in vans with lights that charge a lot for a ride. What happened?

A couple guys got tangled in the sprint. I think only one Wafel was taken away but it didn’t look like anything too bad, some scapes, but hopefully he is fine.
