Carpe damn

It’s Monday, so that means it’s time to traipse through the internet and see who fulfilled the promise of their youth and who merely spent time on this Earth watching the days pass.

At the CRCA Club race on Saturday, David Taylor of Fuoriclasse/Discover Chiropractic won the A Race in a break with Chris Leong of BH/Garneau and Matt Seaton of Rapha Racing. Greg Waggoner of Sids Bikes NYC won the B race. Kristin Lotito of Houlihan Lokey-Sanchez won the women’s race. The CRCA searched for persons of interest in regards to the victory of the C race, but as of the this writing the victory goes to ???. Full results are here.

At Branchbrook on Saturday, Guillaume Nelessen of the Van Dessel Factory Team won the cat 1/2/3 race. Michael Goret of the Watchung Wheelmen won the 35+ race. Richard Gonzalez of Mainline Cycling won the 45+ race. Michael Zak of Team Cosmic won the first cat 4/5 race and Anthony Fatuzzo, also of the Team Cosmic won the second cat 4/5 race. Full results are here.

Reports from Coxsackie have yet to be disgorged, but there is a video of the finish, I think.

At the King’s County Challenge at FBF on Saturday, Alexander Bremer of Foundation wins the pro/1/2/3 race. Samual Schaeffer of Houlihan Lokey-Snachez wins the cat 4 race, and Tim Stenovec of Eastern Mountain Sports wins the cat 5 race. Results are here.

Overnight on Saturday at the Red Hook Criterium, Dan Chabanov wins ahead of Neil Bezdek and Alexander Barouh. Read about it here in "Dewey Defeats Truman" size headline type.

No tweets, exclamations or burps about the Spring Series race in Sunday, rumor has it Gavi Epstein of the pro ass Garmin Development team won, if you know more, please feel free to share with the group.

And there are no reports from Bethel as of this writing, if there are any, they will show up here.

Represents CRCA and BH/Garneu by taking 1st and 2nd in the Crit and RR at the Tour of Tuscaloosa. No GC otherwise he would have won it!

no…super tall dude on BH…good guy…deserves a good race…ya think gavi is gettin a bonus for the SS overall??? no class…unless he solo’d last 5 laps…

Alessandro Headset

I know I’m getting baited into this, but how can you say that someone that wins a bike race has “no class.” The kid is on a development team and it seems like he’s using these races to train (as he should) for Redlands and the rest of his season. My guess is that he’s riding serious volume, too. When Mike McCarthy (Pro on Subaru Montgomery, Saturn, Olympian, World Pursuit Champ) was around, he could’t make any move without 15 guys sitting on his wheel. Same was true when any of the Navigator pros rode with the locals. It’s not so easy to just roll off the front as a pro…the local guys all have you in your sights. Ask Wilson what his mindset was like to have Marty Nothstein in a race…

Robin Biopace

There are 10 -20 Gavis and 5-10 US and Euro Pros in the spring series. They race for training and then do a 3 hour tempo ride aftewards… In Greenville SC, its common for big GH and other big time pros to line up with the Cat1s and 2s.

Kyllian Gel

Quit yer bitchin’ and take your whoopin’.

You’re supposed to be challenged in a race. In a training race you should be pushed to your limits!

Gregorio Locknut

They ride for three hours after because the weather is good in NC/SC. We do that here too.

neo pro can ride

im going on the record to say if your talking shit on Gavi then why aren’t you in the break with him or soloing off the front. Stop hating our locl racers and support the hard work we are doing! from someone who knows.

neo pro can ride

dude, thats like saying well why dont you just go race with all division one pro’s and do 21 days right now? then what will happen

Vespaciano Limit Screw

How’s Mitch from Kissena? He looked like he had a serious head injury on Sunday’s SS Race. Took the ambulance a very long time to arrive. Isn’t there supposed to be one on site?

Julien Cogset

Heard that he suffered broken bones in his face (eye socket, cheekbone and eyebrow?)

What I’ve heard was the cause: the racer up the road swerved suddenly from left to right across the road just where the hill starts to level off, and took him out.

Hold. Your. Fucking. Line. Or stick to Time Trials.
