@##=#<1,R>@##=#NEW YORK, NY (September 19, 2006)—Upton Performance Systems has announced its new corporate name, PerformanceLabs – Hors Categorie, and new web site, www.performancelabshc.com, with expanded coaching and biomechanic services and other performance-based offerings for serious cyclists and triathletes. The new web site will feature weekly updates from professional cyclists and top age-group triathletes, new sports-specific research findings, sports nutrition services and much more.
"The new company and website is a way to showcase our expanded services to athletes in New York but also across the country," explained Craig Upton, founder of Upton Performance Systems and PerformanceLabs HC. The web site is designed to get athletes the most cutting edge information available while gaining valuable feedback about their training for optimal results.
@##=#<2,L>@##=#The web site is where athletes access their personalized training programs and record their workouts and feedback to their coaches. "We listened to our athletes and in developing this site, we think we’ve captured what they were looking for," added Upton. In an ongoing effort to better serve athletes, PerformanceLabsHC will conduct performance surveys that will offer consumers a chance to win one of several prizes including bike fits or other valuable prize.
To keep up with the growing demands for performance-driven and results-based coaching, PerformanceLabs HC has added new triathlon coach Chris Hauth, a two-time Olympian, and nationally-ranked Ironman triathlete. Upton successfully coached Hauth for his 2006 Ironman Coeur d’Alene victory and now Hauth will combine efforts with PerformanceLabs HC to offer training services for triathletes. Hauth is a successful triathlon coach based in the San Francisco Bay area who has coached over 50 top age-group and professional triathletes. Hauth has a great track record with coaching first-time Ironman competitors. To date, he have never had a first-timer not complete their Ironman, and many have gone on to qualify for the Hawaii Ironman World Champitonships.

The facility will provide bike fitting, performance testing and individual or group coaching sessions on Computrainers. Both Upton and Michael Sherry will serve as coaches out of the NYC facility.

Kristin Armstrong ITT Champ

Craig and Mike spent time with Kristin and Bernard van Ulden in the wind tunnel in August. Seems their adjustments worked as she won World Championships despite losing at least 10 seconds because of a dropped chain.
