This weekend has a slate of races that could be described as "Springtime’s Usual Suspects". There’s two races in close proximity on each day, plus a few that are a bit farther away, but might offer vistas of Lycra clad backsides that aren’t the usual fare.
On Saturday, there’s a Spring Series race in Central Park. The best way to find out who won the Spring Series races is to go to the spring series races and win them. Saturday offers an opportunity for that.
Also on Saturday is another Branchbrook Spring Training Series race, if you place 33rd in that race, the internet will tell you, trust me.
Also on Saturday and a little farther away, is the Brinkerhoff Memorial Spring Race Series in Coxsackie, NY—nothing special about that city name, nope, nothing at all…
Saturday also has the Maximizing Cycling Performance Symposium at the NYU Langone Medical Center, which is an event that might make it possible for you to find out who won the Spring Series races.
Sunday there’s another Spring Series race, but in Prospect Park this time, and again, if you win chances are you will know who placed.
Sunday is also the 2011 Outdoor Sport Center Bethel Spring Series – Tour de Kirche in Bethel CT.
And if you want to try something new, why not go to the Thompson Park Spring Training Series in Monroe, NJ?
none of these are forrealz races

does that mean i’m not forrealz awake at 4:50am?
FYI, the parking lot is under construction for a while now. You have to park along the street outside of the park.

Recon Battenkill preview ride…..after today’s recon up in Cambridge,NY I can just say park races are pure and simple joke!!!!….only a joke,….they are not “real races”…..
after lat year’s Assault on Mt Mitchell down in Spartanburg I can just say Battenkill is a pure and simple joke!!!!….only a joke,….it is not a “real race”…..
Dude everyone knows the park races are for training, why would you bash something that is “ours” down here i N.Y.C? It won’t be a “joke” if you get out there and RACE instead of being pack fill!
