Off-Topic for 08/05/2010 – 02:10

Welcome to the Tue, 08/05/2010 – 02:10 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?

Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.

Waaaah...

No separate 3 field offered? Gotta suck it up and ride 5 laps with the P-1-2’s. ouch. Big difference between this and riding the 1-2-3 field in a flat park race.

Go up 9W or palisades, get to state line hill, down to light at bottom of hill, take a left, go to next light, take a left, couple of miles on the right.

Give yourself 1h15m – 1h30m riding from midtown or 1h driving.

Anyone have any details on Rockleigh Crit? Is it happening tonight? How do you get there and about what time would you need to leave midtown to get there?

There’s a Prospect Park Race on Sunday Too!

Just a reminder the final Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup Prospect Park race takes place THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 8.

The Category 1-2-3 and Category 5 races in SATURDAY’S race are full so if you were shut out of those races you can still race on Sunday. (There are still spots open in Saturday’s Category 4 race).

To register online for Sunday’s race go to:
