The Giro is-a charity ride, to help pros with their form before the Tour…always a bridemaid…
Except in 92, 93, 98…Pantani? Right…Indurain? Sure, 180 lbs can get over the Dolomiti in Rosa!!! Ask Lance when does it take 4 team mates to help at 4+min down?
He should drop out, let Levi have more than Horner to help, and recon his Tour stages already…

Lance’s global fanbase is the middle-class cancer community, not aspirationally affluent amateur male cyclists between the ages of 25 and 45 living in New York.
And though his middle-class supporters may have a shallow knowledge of the sport, their purchasing power is wide by virtue of their number.
They will buy Nike, Trek, Giro and Oakley products, they will wear Livestrong kit and they will sport yellow bracelets by the hundreds of thousands while we bikesnobs babble on about pedal stroke and embrocations.
In theory they will buy Saabs and shop at Best Buy. They will at least check out the Invisible Fence that purports to let their dogs run free.
And the grand tour organizers all know this. Their revenue stream is derived almost entirely from television broadcast fees, which are measured rather cryptically by the thousands of media impressions made. When Armstrong is in the race, those numbers increase dramatically, meaning the revenue stream is larger, meaning the trickle-down is fuller, meaning the power wielded by the organizers, federations, advertisers and sponsors is much, much greater.
And Armstrong? He’s smart enough to know that he is already rich enough, and that his potential wealth right now comes from his name and presence.
Meaning he can do all this for “free” because getting paid doesn’t necessarily mean receiving a paycheck in his bank account.

“Lance’s global fanbase is the middle-class cancer community”?
What kind of jagoff comment is that? Did you really need 7 paragraphs to say that Lance is good for ad revenue?

6:12 – What is the middle class cancer community? I think your statement qualifies as one of the dumbest on NYVC.

Just got back from a nice ride and see you tools are still babbling about nothing. Don’t you have some carbon fiber that needs to be replaced by newer carbon fiber?

The real situation has finally become funnier and more pathetic than Toto. If Levi wins, can we see his chin?

He is an international cycl-ebrity. Even the Universal Sports broadcast footage, which is Italian, focuses on Armstrong’s progress even when he is off the back. It’s as if Arnold Schwarzenegger could keep up on a bike and decided to ride the Giro.

When listening to the Giro in Italian, there is no mistaking the frequent VO, “Arm-a-strong” even when he is not close to the action.

Toto is too good for the media? Does his absence this Tuesday mean we have to do an “Armstrong” and go to Twitter to keep up with his strip?
