and great race by both Jermaine and Lisban. They both worked hard keeping that break alive especially considering the bad road conditions. Congrats Jermaine!

In every category, kids on up, exciting to be part of and to watch!
David Walker’s memory was honored today! I met his daughter and other family members today and was very touched by what this race means to them. Let’s try to keep that in mind what he gave the Harlem and cycling community so much.

what a difference in the two races, harlem promoted flawless while the group running the NJ stage race was incompetent at best, maybe just thoughtless. I am not sure if there was a change in the group promoting the NJ mess, but it was so much better last year.
The only good thing now that its over is that I wont get a daily email distributing wrong information in sentences featuring misspelling, poor grammar and vague instructions.

Harlem on the other hand ran perfect.

1 day events are a cake walk next to a stage race. Esp Crits. You are trying to compare Steak with grapes. Stage races are 10X harder. They will get it right again just bad karma with the weather and web site this year. From what I got it was last minute changes from the municipalities involved that were pulling back support due to layoffs and the economy that changed courses and times for the events. Its hard to control the outside variables over a 5 day event esp in this environment. I give them props for getting up at 4 am and going to bed at 1 am to get everything we demand and we are extremely demanding people. Harlem was an great crit. Great Crowd. Great athletes and great competition. Too bad fathers day changes on the calendar for any weekend in June. It could compete against anything. You could still call it a for Fathers Day event but have a solidified date.

I’ve never heard so many people talk about father’s day as I have on this site, I never knew anyone gave a crap about it. Damn I was a bad son.
