Congrats to David Taylor and Phil Everett too.
And a thank you to the entire race day staff — Alex, Orlando, Paulette, and Sergio.

Send that pic to the Central Park Conservancy to show them how dangerous unleashed dogs can be.

Great pics btw.

Unfortunately some people might see those same pics as proof of how dangerous bike races are. :-/

Congrats for a good finish in the B field after a rough start to the season, injury wise. NYVelocity was really strong week after week with great teamwork. Metro put a bunch of different riders to the front. Avenue A/Razorfish stood out in the TT’s (and Mike B for Velocity). Lots of great accomplishments by others in the CRCA field and elsewhere. Fun racing with you. Look forward to next year!

this team challenge stuff was a lot of fun this year and it was great that it was decided in the final race and sprint. i still can’t believe how close it was. i seriously respect and admire how aggressive the nyvelocity team races. already looking forward to next year.

How about how dangerous bike racing can be around unleashed dogs when we use brain-dead rent-a-marshals who get no instruction about dealing with anything other than blowing a whistle a few times?

Wheelsucker

Dogs in the road, some dude unclipped going in front of the A race finish… looks like another fine marshaling job. Seriously, wtf has been with the marshaling this year?

JustinR

A marshal can advise and warn but the day a marshal hauls a rec cyclists out of the way of a race or man-handles a dog owner is the day you kiss park racing goodbye. Sad but true.

I have to ask do you really believe the the substitute marshals are the problem? Earlier this year when I was racing I recognized a few racers, not substitute marshals, who were not doing as good a job as they should have been doing. Some of the substitute marshals do the job quite often and are very good at it. If you have suggestions on what we can do to better educate the marshals, you should share them with at least the marshal director, if not the entire board. It is in all of our interest to have the best marshals out there.

olsen got into the garbage truck, and unclipped fred decided he was going to re-enter the race, burrowes style, and take the A-race win

Wheelsucker

He was 2nd overall at GMSR to Roger including 3rd in the TT (to Roger) and 3rd in the road race. Extremely impressive in my book. Though does that mean he is a TT specialist and an stage race specialist in addition to being a climbing specialist? Reed was a Cat 5 two years ago. Put things in perspective.

David Wagner is clearing the road as sprint approaches, Olsen was behind GT to warn the approaching riders…
simply ennuf
The sprint looks like a lotta wind pushing back hard harder harder!
