Welcome to the Sat, 04/04/2009 edition of Off Topic! You are looking at the next step in the evolution of VCN, the Off-Topic page. Have you ever been frustrated because you had a burning desire to call someone a sandbagger and could only hope to be timely by posting your comment to a photo gallery page or on a page describing a charity ride?
Well, your prayers have been answered! You can post your comment from the home page and it magically comes to rest here with the other orphans from the land of Misfit Comments. The page gets refreshed every day, but not to worry! Each day’s page will be archived and treasured, so you can look back on past pages with pride, shame or disgust-depending on how the day’s conversation went. So post away! We’ve got an internet to fill up.
cat 3 battenkill puts crca teams together, westwood in other field.
Floyd Landis will compete in a cycling race in upstate New York as part of his comeback from a two-year ban for using performance-enhancing drugs. Landis, who will ride for the California-based OUCH cycling team, will compete in the Battenkill Professional Invitational on April 19 in Cambridge, N.Y. Landis forfeited his 2006 Tour de France victory after testing positive for synthetic testosterone.

Rapha & CRCA
By: Wheelsucker
Fri, 04/03/2009 – 16:59Rapha only has the CRCA logo because it is a classic symbol of the history of cycling dumbassery. Inside the jersey is an ode to the CRCA innovations of early bike racing including the “hold forth your line good sir” and “Danforth von Fusbunderland is a bag of sander”.
Yes, they honor the traditions that the CRCA founded so many years ago.
anybody happen to know what the elevation gain is on river road on that last climb, from basin to top (police station)?

happy riding bro!

i want some good racing miles tomorrow at FBF. not in good enough shape to be in contention yet. i could do the 1/2/3s or the 35+. 1/2/3s are longer, but im assuming a break will get away, and then everyone else will f-ck off, and the workout will be worse than the 35+. what say you?
Only 8 pre-reg’d for FBF 1/2/3 tomorrow. Are that many others going to show up. Doesn’t seem worth it if ti’s a field of 20.
