No clue why the hatred towards BH/ML/Mexican beer guy- All the guys I have met/talked to are pretty decent guys…some of them even mountain bike race, which makes them AOK in my book.

FYI: the northern half of River Road is pretty much obstructed by mud and rocks, according to some mountain bikers I encountered by the bridge today. But the police station hill is clear. The road surface is worse than ever, however.
i rode the short climb from boat basin to police station yesterday, it was still a total mess. did they clean it up?
given how slow i go uphill…i had opportunity to glance up the hill at the wreckage/scenery. there’s some pretty nasty stuff that looks like it would come tumbling down if a bird farted too loudly. think giant 1k+ lb. fallen tree trunks dangling perilously at the edge of the hill, ready to come at ya like a steamroller in a split second….
