heard there was a weird incident in the p12 race–cop car enforcing the yellow line rule on the descent and crossing into the race lane, causing a big pileup and spurring a rider protest…? (very euro.) details, anyone?

mikem……

You were close…..a state trooper who left his post on a corner saw the field and attempted to turn around to get back to his post. Problem was in doing his U-turn his nose got into the pro field going downhill at 50mph. Totally stupid. Riders did stop and did not continue. Can’t blame them really, but it was something totally out of control of anyone. Just a bonehead move from someone that should have known better.

"weird incident in the p12 race"

What A.A. wrote, plus the P12 riders didn’t want to continue under the dangerous road conditions: that oncoming traffic was travelling at full speed– that the leading policeman didn’t slow them down. Scary dangerous.
