Jaime Garcia wins the sprint from a five man break. Surprisingly, Accardi isn’t the strong man of the break. That honor goes to Christoffel Prinsloo. Since Jaime’s my oldest racing friend, allow me to stop being ‘objective’ for a second and say “yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!”

Anthony Colby and Roger Aspholm finish well with a tough field at Whitmore’s Saturday. Troy Kimball’s racing the B field? Yikes. Todd Cassan races the Elite, then wins the 35+ over Chris Long.
As I am detoxing from all things “bike”, my enthusiasm is at a seasonal low. So, I should write something about the cross race. There, I just did! Journalism!

it was ricky. he rode off later w/o helmet cause i think it was destroyed. guessing he might have had a concussion.

As marshall right there…get well soon Ricky. He was alone, a headache, bad hip ache, knuckles, and shoulders. We were glad he was able to clear by the time the B’s came in for their sprint. did you see the fellow with the broken apart rim? Someone tell us about THAT crash, please. It was too dry for this, men.
Concussions are fun. I got one on 9W once, thought I was superman afterwards, except i couldn’t hold a straight line and wasn’t quite sure which day it was. And it made me a cheap date, 1 beer and i was hammered…
