TARGETRAINING Pro Cycling Team Wins the Garrett Lemire Memorial Grand Prix

TARGETRAINING Pro Cycling Team

Alejandro Acton (aka Ale-jet) takes 1st; Frank Pipp earns 3rd

Ojai, CA (April 3, 2006) – TARGETRAINING won its third major race of the season and grabbed its first NRC victory. It won while going head-to-head against the more established squads of Jelly Belly, Kodakgallery.com/Sierra Nevada and Toyota United.  TARGETRAINING’s Frank Pipp helped establish an early break, in which all the key teams were represented. Alejandro Acton bridged up and, along with a small group of racers, stayed away from the field for the duration of the 55 lap, 1-mile circuit race. @##=#<3,L>@##=#

“It was work, work, work, work. It was awesome. ” said Team co-captain Frank Pipp. “When crunch time came in the last few laps, especially when other teams’ riders were shed from the break, Alejandro and I were able to make the break stick.”

This early April win follows TARGETRAINING’s two stage victories at the Vuelta Sonora UCI race in March.

According to Pipp, “At the end, between Alejandro and I, we covered all the moves. With one to go, Ale-jet attacked Stewart Jackson at the perfect moment. Two guys on the podium in one race is a good start to April.”  @##=#<4,R>@##=#

Next up for the TARGETRAINING Pro Cycling Team is the Tour de Georgia, April 18-23. Please find more about the TARGETRAINING Pro Cycling Team at www.TARGETRAINING.com/racing.

Kevin Molloy beat Alejandro to win field sprint for third at Harlem last year. That’s seriously impressive.

Great to see Alejandro and Targetraining team doing so well in the pros. They get to ride against the big boys at Georgia next. Hope that ingrate, Schmalz, doesn’t call them pack fill after getting free testing from them.

"cought for doping"

I keep hearing (reading) that, but I haven’t seen anything to confirm it. Does anyone know anything real about this rumor? I’d really like to know, and the anonymous seagull posts aren’t clearing anything up.

wow

i heard it too, but who cares. just sit back, enjoy the show, watch the local junkeys ride up the road and take the 1000 buck prize list. see you in a few years when you are in the doctors office wondering what happened to your health

I heard those rumours too– I think on this cool website called nyvelocity.com. So they must be true. Let’s all keep repeating them.

Acton is a clean rider. Those who suggest otherwise either do not know the facts or simply have a difficult time dealing with reality.

That's really nice

1. If Pullya is guilty that is terrible 2. What does that have to do with Acton’s victory? UCI tests once a quarter. Do you?
