NJ TT Cup Series Readington

4/11 Race Summary

On behalf of the NJBA, the NJBA Time Trial Cup Committee, and the Readington Time Trial team of promoters, I would like to offer another huge bravo to all who showed up and laid it down in week # 2 of the Time Trial Cup Series.  It was yet another inclimate Saturday morning in New Jersey, this time dealing with cold temps and relentless spring rain.  Once again the registration and scoring were done perfectly, accurately and quickly.  The marshals and volunteers did a tremendous job supporting the promoters and providing a safe course on which to race.

Congratulations to Will O’Donnell of Westwood Velo/Trade Management who had the fastest overall time of 11:34 averaging 28.271 mph on this slightly rolling wet course!  The top 5 was rounded out by the following with a tie at 4th:

Jason Walters         Guardian Coaching/Brielle Cyclery                     11:55, 27.441 mph

Sean McLaughlin     Human Zoom/Pabst Blue Ribbon                      12:01, 27.212 mph

Chris Fritz               Guardian Coaching/Brielle Cyclery                    12:05, 27.062 mph

Mark Pohndorf        Colavita Racing                                              12:05, 27.062 mph

The Category 4/5 maintained its tight competition, as did the 35+ field.  2009 is looking to be a very competitive season for time trialing in the NJ TT Cup Series!  Full results can be found here:
