NJ TT Cup Series Cape May

#3 in the books

Race #3 in the NJ Time Trial Cup Series is in the books, and the competition is closer than ever!  This past weekend’s Cape May Time Trial provided beautiful weather on a flat 7.5 mile out and back course.  This was the Cape May event’s second year, and was held one month later on the calendar than 2008.  Time records were shattered by most repeat competitors.  Attendance was lower than the series’ first two events, likely due to the travel vs. event length for some North Jersey/NY area Time Trialists.  The series’ dedicated aero geeks were present, though, and the battles were close and exciting!

Will O’Donnell of Westwood Velo/Trade Management (Senior Men 1/2/3) had the fastest overall time for the second TT in a row of 14:47!  The top 5 was rounded out by the following:

Jason Walters (Senior Men 1/2/3) Guardian Coaching/Brielle Cyclery         15:02

Dan Hoffman (Senior Men 1/2/3) Westwood Velo/Trade Management       15:05

Chris Fritz (Masters 35+)             Guardian Coaching/Brielle Cyclery         15:22

Steve Goldman (Masters 35+)      Westwood Velo/Trade Management      15:26

The 35+ field overall is now separated by 1 point, with Steve Goldman in 1st and Chris Fritz 1 point behind.  Senior Men 1/2/3 and 4/5 are also tightly contested as the series heads to Whitehouse Station, NJ for the Somerset Circuit Time Trial on May 9th.  Pre registration can be found at:

yes, there was an issue with the timing and most results are 30 seconds off. The above posted times are the accurate times.
