Hopeful Fridays 3/31/06

Section head text.

In our never ending quest for ways to make you do our work for us, we present our latest weekly feature – Hopeful Fridays, the good twin of the Monday Hangover. Because hope springs eternal on Friday, before we’ve had our hats handed to us over the weekend.

Post your predictions for the weekend, talk some ill-advised smack, tell us where you’re racing, and most importantly, anonymously tell us who’s getting dropped.

Sandy Hook TT: TT’s, snore. Another win for El Presidente, the Wattage Cottage, the Hammer, the Brick House?

Bethel: Another Badger sighting? More Rick Spear?

Branchbrook: Is Mengoni putting in an appearance? We need another Eugene article.

Spring Series: Prospect again. Can Toga be beat? Will the Hall of Famer win the Masters again? Who can stop no nickname Loudon?

Ok, you know the drill. Best prediction wins an original NYVC shirt and race bag. Bonus categories this week, best caption for Erik and Alessandro, best nickname for Chris Loudon.

After years as the glad recipient of an entire team’s workload, it feels nice now to really give it to a young rider in his prime, like Ale. I’m extremely gratified.

Gillette’less Loudon – legs like a bloody gorrilla.

Caption "When it comes to raping an innnocents dignity, if Pettachi is like Ginger to Siggy’s field then for the sick voyeur role Zabel must be like Andy"….nah too long.

The boys from Miya Shoji will continue their winning ways at Bethel in the 4’s — And will Mike P and the NYC miya shoji guys hold 1st. Let me think ………. yep

Slokar takes Kirkwood.

Whatever Alder does this weekend will be in the name of Mo Ragaza who was launched 7 feet into the air and landed on his chest due to a jackass move of a rec rider. As of 2AM last night, the xray disproved the doc’s prognosis of "broken rib." Big thanks to Peter Hines and Ray Alba for coming to our aid last night.

The warm weather has brought out the bladers and rec riders, so please be aware.

unfortunate that as the weather gets nicer, the trainer gets the same if not more use b/c the park turns into a deathtrap (time to break out the cruiser with the aerobars and ride zig-zags!)… hopefully daylight savings will keep some of the fairweather crowd away for at least the early weekday mornings.

I’m doing the River Rd. out 9W back loop this atleast twice a week while the light is in my favor aft 6. I’ll save the park for the recovery spin!

This wkend – Van Petegem will rise again. Boonan will get marked heavily.

Well, judging how the gospel is spouted hear on a regular basis, re: "accurate" doping determinations, then I am now a fag. Oh thank God. Hiding the truth was so difficult. I hope I win a butt plug. Love and Kisses.
