Judging by the sheer amount of races available, one thing seems perfectly clear—people love racing in the spring—or they love wearing absolutely every piece of warm cycling clothing they own and prancing about in public places, either way, let’s see what the weekend has in store for these Michelin Men and Women of the road.
Saturday has a Spring Series Race in Central Park. There’s a Branchbrook Park Race in Jersey. A Plainville Spring Series race, and the Trooper David Brinkerhoff Memorial Race Series (in Coxsackie, insert juvenile joke here) begins on Saturday.
Sunday has the BattenSpring Classic in Salem, NY.
The bevy of bike racing opportunities continues on Sunday, with a CRCA Race in Central Park. there’s a Spring Series Race in Prospect Park. And, of course, on Sunday there’s the 2013 Outdoor Sport Center Bethel Spring Series – Bethel CDR Gold Race in Bethel CT. Good God, I think I just upgraded by looking at all those racing opportunities.
or first.
of you to stop by Dan.
Sunday’s prospect park race is cancelled. Any chance that they’ll open up the Central Park race to non-CRCA racers?!?!??
I was reading those!!!
Armstrong is done and so is bike racing. Get smart y’all and take up triathlon.
AvD results are up. Chapeau.

protest period is over.
Watch out tomorrow. It sounds like CRCA already spoke with the parks and tri organizers?
but one never knows what could go wrong. . I don’t doubt that CRCA did best to make all adjustments with other parties. I do however, questions the boneheads out there – tri guys mostly but racers also.
Thank god the finish is not at Cat’s Paw
Be safe out there.
The Sunday PP race is on. AVD was just being AVD.
I think it was more like a bikereg/kissena mashup. we dont have to blame AVD for everything
650 tri-guys, what could go wrong?
They are Bi-Guys not Tri-Guys.
Splitting hairs.
