Hopeful Friday Bastille Day

Section head text.

Too busy to do much with this one today. Gotta knock out the little gaps in Michael Boogerd’s perm.

Union Vale and Park Ridge this weekend. Discuss.

Park Ridge – when spoken with a North Jersey accent sounds a lot like “nut punch.”

Union Vale is a race, with bikes…

Oh wait

I forgot — it’s not a true loop — there’s a finishing climb not included in the race laps, right?

Aaron

Right. On the right side of the profile, where CLIMB starts you make a left turn to stay on the course. The climb is the finish only.

BTW….there’s a crit too in Poughkeepsie; using ESG course from last year. Should be hot, but fun. Hope to see you all there.

Not as shady as it looks. Those doing more than two laps will need extra water. It’s gonna be shweaty.

Unionvale under 35 4/5 race: I’m going with Shaw then Harris 1,2

Unionvale cat 3: Armand

35 +: i’ll take O’mally

the 1,2 unionvale: I’ll take Sherry

Prospect 123: I’m going with Guzman (he’s riding great)

Prospect 4: I have no idea!

Park Ridge: who’s signed up??

Re: O'Malley

I like racing with the guy. May not always make the best tactical moves, but always keeps a race interesting. Personally, I dont understand the downhill break attempt — but i respect the effort. And when he does figure it out, he is going to kick all our butts. (so I hope he doesn’t see this)

union vale: NOT shady (at least, not shady enough). i had like 7 bottles. on the topo map, they should also mention that on hot days, the sensation on the climbs toward the end of the course is something like being inside an oven.
