Hopeful Friday August 10, 2012

i guess…

I believe there are things to be hopeful for, but given the fact i may or may not be getting an awful cold and it may or may not be torrentially downpouring today and tomorrow, i am feeling pretty bleak. so here is your daily dose of NYVC happiness…

On Sat, there is Mengoni. There are rumors abound, but one thing i can verify is there will be a heavily tattooed guy who enjoys tan, pleated pants in attendance. Sat also begins the Tour de Millersburg. All you anti social aero nerds can get your TT on at the Butternut (not FUNNY) Valley (ok, it’s actually a little funny) Time trial and the semi social ones can do the same at the NJBA Team Time trial. There is also the Lake Nockamixon 15 Mile TT Challenge.

Sun brings the conculsion of the Tour de Millersburg. There is also the Second Annual (or is it Anual?) MangoSeed race in PP, the Tour de Fair Haven in NJ and the Silver Mine TT in Harriman. For those with the secret password and a super exclusive CRCA club membership (yes, i totally have a card), there is a CRCA Club Track Championship.

wiley

first.

Who does not belong in the list: Contador, Schleck or Armstrong?

They all belong to the list because they are all dopers.

I am hopeful. Wasn’t Lance’s party suppose to reply by this week regarding the USADA’s possible sanctions?
What happened? Arbitration? Admittance?

Either way, I am hopeful.

Let’s race bikes for a win tomorrow in CP. If you don’t race for Mengoni or Foundation, then don’t pull a break back, because you have no chance of winning in a field sprint. Your only chance is to get in a break and ride hard…seriously! Is anybody interested in actually racing hard and potentially rewriting the boring old script?

Thank you very much for today and all the kid’s races this season.
Orchard Beach, Floyd and Mengoni were all great events for the children.

Who was the guy conducting the urine test in the bathroom? Something didn’t feel quite right about it all.

Adam Sealant

…who caused the rider to go down in cat 4. why were you in the midst of the field on a fast section of the course again?

Nigel H

If anyone found a black Zen Bikes drawstring bag with a multitool, tube, and tire levers, can you please email me at nigelnyc@gmail.com? It was lost at the Mengoni Grand Prix today. Left it by the tree by the start/finish and it was missing after the race.

Thanks,
Nigel

im going on a wild guess here that thats not your name.
Yes I was in the mist of the cat 4’s.
I apoligized to the rider who went down in person. and he didnt think I caused the crash. As do I.
But you are intitle t your opinion.
take care.

So…Vaughters finally admits it. It’s about time.

Curious why now. Maybe the Lance thing is progressing and he’s front running the pending &S%! storm.

Curious to see what the consequences are.

Oh and the vitriol from the peanut gallery, of course!

So that would make Lance about the only professional cyclist of note in the 1995-2005 time frame that didn’t dope…

And, it might be cleaner today, but its still too easy to dope and I bet more prevalent than we realize or want to admit.

I am beginning to think that pro cycling is not much more “real” than “pro” wrestling. WWF anyone?

I love how now all of you will be all “oh, bravo JV, way to go!”

He admitted being an ass. Yes, that is preferable to the alternative, but nothing to be celebrated.

Mats Clamp

JV has been and still is a hypocrite. He was a fraud from the day he doped, and now, given some interesting timing (before Monday, perhaps?) he makes this release.

The right thing should have been to come clean back then, but no, he had to go build a team, build a bigger team, and then an even bigger team. And silence the whole time. Funny, that. That there spells Show me the Money. Guess he got to liking the taste of that fancy cabernet a little more than he liked telling the truth.

His bathroom mirror must be highly tinted.

bleh

admitting it once he is in a totally safe and secure place in the cycling world. Now he is just using it to his favor. Not gonna damn him for it, but that’s all the “credit” he deserves.

Do vitamins and other supplements really work, or are we at the receiving end of a big scam? Who is regulating the vitamin industry?
