Decent!
Saturday is the CRCA club championship for the A and Women’s fields, so if you want to be CRCA club champion, you will at least need to be there tomorrow. Saturday also has a Cadence Prospect Series race at Prospect Park (obviously). And Saturday also has the Zeppelin Criterium in Lakehurst, NJ, which, if it lives up to its name, should have a very interesting parking lot scene before the race. But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her….yeah.
Sunday is the CRCA ITT and Club Championship at FBF. Sunday is also the Tour de Toona Crit in Altoona, PA.
first
new site has really killed traffic. the site is boring. kill the old site and make this one less busy.
seems like many NYC riders heading up there
Sunday is also the day of the bizarrely-named Freedom Tour in nearby Stirling, NJ. There’s a $3500 prize list for the P/1/2 race, so it might be worth the trip.

Which is harder Tokeneke or Hilltowns?
Make this site the site, be done and move on. This double website thingie your doing is basic crap.
… why you choose to fix that wasn’t broken should be up for argument, as far I can see, there are absolutely no useful new features in the new version…
1 site only!
all kinds of good momentum, lots of fun posts, then BAMMM…stopped cold in its tracks! site is dead and annoying tough to navigate. addons and modifications and new stuff aint always for the better. in this case, its been for the worse.
time to go back to slowtwitch
did you just admit to going to slowtwitch? good lord.
might be a great option for you. Old site will be shut off next week and domain name transfered here. Come back then if this testing is ruining your day.
They’ve switched over to Drupal as a framework which is FAR superior for community sites (vs. MS .Net). Give it some time. Get some work done. Enjoy the weather.
I’d like to conduct a miniature poll. Who thinks Saunier-Duval becoming Scott-American Beef is sweet. How funny is “American Beef” in the title sponsor of a big team, especially that team. The best part is, unless Velonews is pranking, its true.
American beef not sign Toto?
American Beef is based in Chihuahua, Mexico?
American Beef is based in Chihuahua.
and that was a little sad.
Dan, are as upset as I am that Flecha missed the time cut?
I think it is pretty shitty of aso to turn down his, Wegman, et al’s appeal.
I mean, shit, they are two days from Paris.
Led Zeppelin ruined roack and roll
Yeah, you hardly even hear anything about “Roack” music since the Zep’
anyone have results from prospect or crca? hilltowns first wave?

american beef vs. go vegan?
Man, starting this new site just seemed to kill the activity here. The past week has been a borefest.
why don’t you start a fucking conversation then?
did you race today? there were many races. you could maybe talk about how well you did. did you perform better or worse than you had hoped?
or do you only come here to see people anonymously flame each other?
there was a crash in the 123s at prospect in the last 1K…anyone know anything about it? I think at least 1 rider left in an ambulance
The dude with the poland spring water bottles in the CRCA C field has to be stopped. That guy is a menace.
mangoni and WS United collide in a furry of mine is bigger then yours and spill all over the roadway.
So pro!
Happened at about 400m to go on the right side. Two riders crashed out, one of which did an amazing cartwheel and ruined the sprint for 25th place.
He through a water bottle off to the side of the road in the last lap today. Dude thinks he riding the tour.
Are you talking about the long-haired dude with the hip pack?
I said it last weekend before I knew that people crashed and I will say it again after this crash. P Park is sketchy as hell. Guys ride like they have a death wish, all over the road, hooking each other in the sprint, attack in the joggers lane, yelling at each other, crashes all over the place. People in p park need to chill
it’s what happens when you have a straight and relatively flat finish. stuff starts early.
Yes – the hip pack guy. He needs to invest in a water bottle and cage so he isn’t swerving all over the road trying to unscrew that Poland Springs bottle. And he should be throwing it into the park either.
Any rider tossing bottles intentionally in Central Park should be noted by races and CRCA officials should be informed that is just bullsh_it.
Instead of coming here and complaining just tell Alex or whoever is running the race that day.
and witnessed Jeff talking to the rider who threw the bottle.
Whatever people, you should all be honored to have the lead guitarist for SoundGarden showing up at your race.
…he was a lighing tech for “Smashing Pumpkins”
Enough about C riders throwing bottles! Where are the results/photos for the Championships and Hilltowns?
I told him not to pack his pump before the race, so I did my part.
Where are the pics of the Cs!
pp problems would go away if finish were at the top, or near the top, of the hill. if things continue as they’ve been going, there’s going to be no racing there pretty soon.
no one is curious what is in the hip pack?
ok lets finish on the hill
Significantly reduce all field limits. P123 to 65 riders.
we were all sketchy C’s at one point guys…
then we become crash-loving B’s. it’s the natural order of things…
@ bikereg
The top of the hill at grand army plaza, is the busiest, most crowded spot of the whole park. Having the finish there would result in disaster.
