Hopeful Friday 6/1/2007

Section head text.

This weekend will see two Time Trials on the same day! Sunday will have the Floyd Bennett Field time trail in the mighty winds of the Gateway National Recreation Area. Later Sunday will be the New Jersey Individual TT Championships at Chatsworth. I’m wondering if they have a category for NJ guys who are 38 1/2 years old and despise time trialing and have dreamy eyes and a peckish outlook on the world? Who could possibly win that medal?

Also, it is your chance to win a trip to the Empire State games by doing 90-odd laps of Prospect Park with anyone who owns a bike in the NYC area. My money is on the guy on the hybrid with a Zipp front wheel.

Beacause you will need more than just sprint capablity at ESG. Good race and glad to see no crashes. I think that is an ESG qualifier first. Since it seems the entire group can sprint – maybe all of you should do some hill training. Just a thought.

no offense to Zabel and Lisban, but it totally looks like the two of them are cha-cha’ing on their bikes…..”did not win, cha-cha-cha.”

I put up the arial views and map information for both Harlem and Rockleigh races, so go to the “Local Race Courses” link at the left, I rock.

can you race the city qualifier if you don’t live in the region considering the dearth of local races…obviously, I couldn’t take a spot to qualify, but can I race it? If so, where and what time? (I’ll bring Dan’s Wheel) 🙂
