why does everyone where skinsuits. i realize that there isn’t much need for pockets in a short race, but is there some other reason?

That picture is from my first ‘cross race ever. I still ride the same bike and unfortunately I haven’t gotten any better. The odds of me beating Eric Schlauch on Sunday are slim. I’ll go with Elliston in the As and Vareschi in the Bs.
Re skinsuits: you don’t need pockets, and the skinsuit is less likely to get caught on your bike, other riders’ bikes, trees, etc. Also maybe it sheds mud better? That’s just a guess.

I kept trying to tell my wife how evil Matt is. Then he built her a website for free (he wouldn’t even keep the Zipp disk wheel I repeatedly tried to give him by leaving in his car) and one day – – here’s the real kicker – – he dropped off an apple pie for my wife to taste (more of a galette I suppose). He actually made the pie/galette! My wife hasn’t stopped talking about it since. It was 2 years ago.
So don’t be fooled. EMH is certainly evil. Both on and off the bike, he’ll make you look bad and do it with panache.

What Floyd’s people seem to be trying foist on us is what anyone who’s been given a faulty diagnosis knows about medical tasting. The percentage of false positives is high enough that a few typos and some high end lawyers should be able to throw a spanner in the legal works, or maybe not.
