Shout out to Andy for his solo breakaway attempt at the CRCA masters race.
Prospect Park Results from Sunday – it was a 5 guy breakaway:
1. Canadian national cyclocross champion Mike Garrigan riding for Kisenna takes the win
2. ?? Get’s second Place
3. Brian Breach Mengoni in 3rd
4. Stephan Dioslaki Metra / Cycles 54 in 4th
5. Super young 17 yr old junior Dude Riding for Brauer mic gets 5th
paul carbonara won
“Super young 17 yr old junior Dude Riding for Brauer ” is Juan Pimentel Jr… learn that name.
Result don’t show it but Fred Shattell of VeloOrigin did 50 miles solo in the B race for the win.
Trying to figure out which is the most awesome name – John Badassa or Fred Shatell. I think my name is holding me back from winning.
Okay – so its:
1. Canadian national cyclocross champion Mike Garrigan riding for Kisenna takes the win
2. ?? Get’s second Place
3. Brian Breach Mengoni in 3rd
4. Stephan Dioslaki Metra / Cycles 54 in 4th
5. Juan Pimentel Jr Super young 17 yr old junior Dude Riding for Brauer mic gets 5th
Who’s the guy in 2nd place?!? At the risk of saying something bad…I know he’s a Latino dude and had on some blinding bright neon orange going on in his kit and on his shoe covers. Good sprinter…def capitalized on some well-timed wheel sucking to beat out Breach for 2nd place. What’s his name??!?
Veloflow of Sunday Central Park race. I’m rider 1, Harry Zernike is 2, Alexis Kraft is 3.

Choose 500 for number of rides, choose a smaller time gap if your connection is fast. Here’s how to make one with yourself as one of the highlighted riders.

Remember last summer when that guy rode no-hands on the downhill in prospect park, crashed himself out and many of the riders behind him? He won. Garrigan was 2nd.
Sorry for the mistake… see below:
A Race (Cat 1/2/3) 60 miles
1 RYAN SERBEL, AETNA CYCLING TEAM P/B CHARLESCOACHING.COM
2 EVAN MURPHY, CRCA/FOUNDATION
3 DAVE WARNER, GREEN LINE VELO DRIVEN BY ZIPCAR
4 AUSTIN VINCENT, C.F. RACING
5 ROBERT MARCINKO, C3 RACING
2nd place looked like Stalin Quintero.
Yes – thank you. that’s who I thought it was. But, wasn’t he racing for the Somerville? His neon orange looks like a new gig or like he’s unattached???
Andy, why were your riding backwards through the park before the Race from Engineers gate? A big CRCA no-no.
After reading that hangover I need a drink
there’s no question about who got 1st place @ PP. Mike Garrigan positively got 1st (by a long shot). It was close between 2nd & 3rd. Breach deserved it but Stalin got it. 4th clearly went to Dioslaki and 5th clearly went to Pimental Jr.
So very busted.
You’re lucky you went straight home after…
“learn that name”… learn to pull 😛
Why do some riders think that if they are sitting on someone they own that spot? Twice this season I’m in a position to take a good wheel and I’m chicken flap elbowed, what ever you want to call it because the rider was trying to hold that wheel. I understand if it’s your team mate, but they act like it’s theirs because they were on it first. I can hold my own and some, but don’t waste the energy or risk crashing.
Can someone tell me how many times we got overtaken?
O! Wait! Or how many times we overtook other fields?
Did someone say break-a-way? No…! Chase group, wait — 2 chase groups or maybe 3 chase groups?
O! Wait! Did we start with a pace car? Because we definitely did not end with one.
And last but not least: How many pro 123 riders do you have to pass inside the FINAL 50-meters in order to win the Masters field sprint?
Is you want to race a AVD event, be prepared to leave with all of these questions?
My only question is what does any of that even mean?
The state of confusion that AVD races cause. And the final sprinting HAZARD.
so they are on a wheel and you are trying to take it, and don’t appreciate them not letting you?
wait…so who’s winning? i’m confused.
where you demand results more than anywhere else I’ve raced, and somehow can’t even figure out who won.
Yes, they are/had the wheel, but the rider in front moved to his right and you are there ready to take it as you are to the right, or the rider in front accelerates and you grab the wheel as there is a gap. It’s organic, but bulling your way back in is not.
It’s probably pointless to describe, but I know what I mean 🙂
and pictures!
Stalin Quintero won the race Montecci
2nd Mike Garrigan Kissena
3rd Brian Breach Mengoni
4th Stephan Dioslaki Metra / Cycles 54
5th Juan Pimentel jr. Brauer Mick
Gee MG girl,
Yes if you are “trying to get on a wheel and some other girl has it”, s/he will chicken-wing you or whatever…. That lycra-wearing bee-hotch will flick your ass onto the curb…
What the f–k>?! Yes, bitch, stealing a good wheel from someone ain’t easy. Gots to put some energy into that shit….
Baron von Kornlocher
the new cycling team is awesome, I believe they are called the “Pink Douche Bags” or something to that effect
Cat-5 race, there was a woman racing among them. The woman blew a snot rocket, and another rider exclaimed, “Eeeuwww” (kind-of like a child), with another rider agreeing with the sentiment of disgust, and a third rider saying, “She’s a cat-4, she doesn’t belong here”.
Good job, guys.
blowing rockets is nasty, I don’t care who does it.
The Foundation Domination continues in 2013. Line up haters (behind the Foundation winners, that is!). WHOOOOAAAAAAA!!!!
their mothers must be so proud.
If your goal is to boast about other cyclists’ success you need a life…
