It was a warm weekend of racing and there’s plenty of results to type, so I will dutifully type and try to not misspell any of the following.

Amy Cutler of Team EPS/CSS p/b Shebell & Shebell won the women’s race. Blaine Hurty of Black Tie Sports / Spine won the cat three race. Joseph Grgic of Setanta won the cat 4 race, and Joshua Lehman won the juniors race. Results are here. Photos are here and here.
No Lime Rock results posted yet (and I get to not type—laziness triumphs!), but when they appear they will be here.
Meanwhile at the Watermelon crit, Hugo Scheur of Liberty Cycle won the junior race. Elspeth Huyett of Team Alliance Environment won the women’s 1/2/3/4 race. John Sedlak of DNK Cycling won the cat 3 race. Wayne Gregory of siggi’s/nyvelocity won the cat 4/5 race. Patty Woodworth of Action Wheels/CC Evesham won the women’s cat 4 race. Micahel Novemsky of DNK Cycling won the 35+ race. Greg Cordasco of Liberty Cycle won the 45+ race. Doug O’Neil won the 55+ race. Results are here.

On a final note, we sadly report that Andrew Capizzi was killed yesterday, and our hearts go out to his family and loved ones.
I was Andrew Capizzi’s advisor in his Master’s studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He has just submitted his thesis a month ago. My lab and I are devastated by the news of his death (of which we heard only through the grapevine), and would greatly appreciate any more details of the accident and/or contact information for the family and/or services and other related activities.
please contact us backchannel. my email is shcohen@jjay.cuny.edu Sincerely, DrC.

By 1/2s at Watermellon you mean Juniors. Either that or Hugo is the fastest 13yo racer ever.

I’m sorry.
your sincere heartfelt plea is noted….now be quiet, where is the fun in that?
Hey, let’s discuss Fitchburg and Iron City, that seems to be all the rage on the twitters and the facebooks!
With this morning’s news can we all stop making the silly claim that other sports don’t care about doping?
There’s a doping problem in all professional sports. Cycling is no different. But we need to stop apologizing and making excuses.
