It was a pleasant weekend of racing, one that doesn’t require superfluous bloviating from my gnomish fingers, so I shall purposelessly type no further.

The Spring Series happened, that is all I know as of right now.
Ignorant Cat 5 here. How do people end up on teams? Are the teams recruiting unattached riders finishing in the top 10 in races around town or are the riders supposed to reach out to the teams to ask to join?
How old is that guy now? He will be winning races at 65 I guess, sorta like the Boston version of JJ, only with a serious motor vs sprint. Btw there appear to be no fewer than FIVE mccormacks in the 55 man field in that race, Frank and Mark included. Do they have kids that race pro now too? haha.
Is that a name or an adjective?
First, by the way.

Yes, the rest are their kids.
Mark, Frank and Shawn are brothers. Cameron and Brendan are Frank’s twin sons.
And Silke Wunderwald is a very nice person.
the brothers mccormack won pretty much everything for years. didn’t one of ’em go race in europe for awhile too? those guys are (or were) FAST, and they could probably be fat old men and still kick everyone’s ass.

Breavkfast
Cat 5s in pro replica kits to Mengoni….
Hay Carumba!
Yo CAT 5, quit the sport now while you are ahead, it is an expensive, time consuming, risk taking activity, surrounded by mostly snobs and douche bags in racing kits. All you are left with at the end of the day are a few photographs and a lighter wallet after paying for the photographs and entry fees, and from buying equipment, power meters, carbon this carbon that, which becomes a never ending odyssey in the quest for speed.
Play tennis or run instead.

go for it haters, moralizers, and hmmmmmmmers
Look at the date of the article and its author, Leo.
What, does he turn green and go “Grrrrrrr!”?
Meh, been there, done that.
“He’s still mad about what happened in the 2010 Tour, and you know what happens when Lance gets mad.â€
Counterpoint to quit guy….yes you will spend a lot of money on bikes/clothes/travel/entry fees etc. yes you may be injured at some point. You may find yourself with humiliatingly mediocre results. You may find yourself in the company of some pretty arrogant douchebags from time to time.
But if you are younger, you will save a lot of money on booze and late night bad food. If you are older, you will save money on blood pressure medication and coronary bypasses. You will participate in one of the most beautiful sports ever invented. And if you have talent and train hard you might actually win a race. But even if you don’t it’s worth it IMO.
And if you’re married and can’t stand your spouse as it is, you’ll get to spend quality time outside of the home while improving your health & well being, and piss them off that much more! Winner!
Bobby Lea just retweeted this:

Damian made it!
Indeed, you are a Fred in the nascent stages of racing.
From here on out you may spend a lot of money and time, take risks, get injured, surround yourself with snobs and douche bags in racing kits, have a lighter wallet after buying equipment, power meters, carbon this and carbon that, which become a never ending odyssey in the quest for speed.
And you know what? At the end of the day you’ll still be a Fred in the game of life.
I would love to see the No Pro camera footage from the goofball that crashed out the Foundation rider in the 123 race on Sunday. That was some dumb %^&*. How did you get a cat 3 upgrade?
Fred in the Game of Life–isn’t that a Stevie Wonder album?
Featuring the hit song, Sir Dooshbag.
Cat 5 you will need a coach, it is imperative.
