It was a terrifically busy weekend for the CO2 gnomes in Vermont, especially those who enjoy the exhalations of those from the New York City area, so let us turn an inquisitive eye towards the results of the Green Mountain Stage Race.
In the final GC for the Pro/1 men, Andreas Diaz of Mengoni finished in first place overall. In the final GC for the Cat 2 men, David Taylor of Blue Ribbon-Translations.com finished third overall. In the Cat 3 men’s race, Brett Cleaver of Sommerville Sports finished third overall. In the 3/4 women’s race, it’s a CRCA podium sweep with Dara Kiese and Donna McMahon of Radical Media taking first and second, with Fabienne Gerard of Teany Cycling finishing third. Pavel Gonda of NYU won the cat four race, with Christopher Leong of NYVelocity finishing third. Roger Aspholm of Westwood Velo won the Master 40+ race with Robert Lattanzi of Westwood finishing third. Doug O’Neil of Deno’s Wonder Wheel finishes up our discussion with a second place in the Master’s 50+ GC. Full results are here.
Meanwhile at Basking Ridge, it seems from the Quezada photographic evidence that Euris Rafael of Champion System won the 123 race, with Gary Steinberg of Global Locate winning the master’s race. If you have any other knowledge of how the weekend’s racing went – um, like the Kissena Labor Day Track races – please let us know.

He new to NYC/ex pro? Guy is a machine.
Diaz: *Colombian* machine, not just any machine.
See?
Dude has bad skin, so what?
Sorry, felt dicky to me – don’t trifle with me today…
how come we can speculate on lance’s behavior but not on colombian pros?
Trifle-sensitive and pasty Iowans (or whatever one calls them folk from flyover country) can be dicked with, not Colombians – or so I hear.
Yours,
Pablo Escobar

G Steinberg won field sprint, five guys were up ahead.
Andres work too hard, going to bear mountain before racing at FBF is not done by any of the semi-pro wannnnabes from here. Euris is a hard worker too. they both race at CAyey and Guadaloupe where there is doping controls before you get any pay. if you want to win races, work hard like those two, dont work 4o hrs a week and do 35 hr on the bike..by the way, andres and Euris are going to pro teams next year.
diaz 10th on imaginary GC. great work.

scheduling tour of the catskills on rosh hashana is going to interfere with the feldheimer.
The Jewish Alps are the perfect place to spend Rosh Hashanah.

a splash of manischewitz blackberry wine in the water bottle way better than gatorade. lahayem!
Feldheimer don’t roll on shabbos!
nothing like a couple o’ yonah schimmel potato knishes in the jersey pocket on a long hot day.
Andres congratulations you are a fantastic rider!
does anyone know what size cranks Cavendish v Hushovd ride? Seems like Thundergod has need of 20 rpm??? and maybe keeps his elbows out of the wind???
Cavendish ripped the field a new one…
like Frankie :Dokie: Lopez in the night ride…
Their as long as they need to be to keep yo mama happy
i think i remember reading that he uses 167.5 cranks. like his track bike.
Should be an interesting end of Sept!
Good luck Evie. we’ll be chering for you
