Reality bites? Were you there?
Chances are Olsen went on the offensive trying to get in a break Attacking throughout the race while you either sat on your couch and picked your nose or rode to Nyack thinking you had a good training day.

freaking 40+ and he kicks ass. I’m no fanboy, but I’d like to race like that when I’m over 40. go race cat 1 at GMSR and report back how well you do. oh, that’s right, you’re still a cat 4ever.

If anything, they should give 25% of the race fee to the Mad River Valley Relief Fund. They need it more than we do, especially with the rain today.

Exactly 2:16. Huge hats off to the promoter.

Gary and his team pulled off an amazing feat getting stages 2 and 3 completely reworked due to massive flooding and whole sections of roads simply being washed away. Surely it would have been so easy to throw up your hands and pull the plug on the entire thing. Instead they created a whole new race in the four days between Irene and the start. All this while keeping the essence and spirit of the GMSR that we love to race exactly the same.

Not only that, but course profiles were provided for the new routes, results were up on site when they were supposed to be and online same day, and things generally appeared to us racers to go off without a hitch. You just know there was a TON of mad scrambling pull it all off.

It is hard to even imagine how you guys did that.

Thanks.

KOM overall.

3rd back 5 seconds going in to Stage 3 and flatted.

Great results nonetheless.

The crca website states that there will be double points for the Team Cup, but doesnt say the same about the Jim Boyd Cup. Does that mean that the Boyd Cup in the A field is decided since the leader has a 12 point lead?

and yes i obviously ride for adler

CRCA

See http://www.crca.net/2011/09/club-championship-to-be-held-september-17th/

The race on the 17th will be:
– Club Championship race (Men’s A and Womens fields)
– Team Cup Finale (A, B & W) – by definition this means double points; see the rules at http://www.crca.net/racing/club/team-cup-jim-boyd-rules/
– Jim Boyd points (not double – only double on Boyd bonus days, which this was never)

The clarification is required because normally, per the rules, a club championship race is not eligible for either Jim Boyd or Team Cup. This year it is because of the exceptional circumstances and the fact that there were no remaining dates to reschedule the race to.

Make sense?

Gregorio Brakepad

who cares? its not a real race…go do Univest or ADKs…just saying…discuss…do you really race difrnt if there is some bitchass crca award involved? race to win and let the UC1 figure it out…
