Anybody know how the kid is doing? Awful crash…
Cat 3 racer who crashed into a car that pulled over in the early miles of Stage 3 was released from the hospital yesterday with stitches and bruises only.
Sam, racing as a 15 year old in the 15-18 juniors field, won stage 3 in impressive fashion by successfully pulling off a 50 mile solo break; beating the yellow jersey by over a minute.
very tough stages, who knew stage 3 could have been harder than devils kitchen stage !
Congrats to ben noble who did a fantastic job in cat 3 field, and to rest of my team mates for helping bh / garneau win cat 3 team award .
Great race look forward to next year, nice to not have an uphill tt as well ! Enough climbing in stages to decide the gc guys
Congrats sam, awesome way to win , look forward to seeing a lot more from you
Kid is a strong rider… I see him every week during the Tuesday night Westchester hammerfest and he’s always at the front. Nice work.
i feel like death today. TOC is a great, tough race. agree with penman – stage 3 was definitely harder than the DK stage. i will remember that for next year! I really enjoyed the race and I thought it was ridden in a good sportsmanlike spirit. Yesterday was one of the most miserable days on a bike/of my entire life but overall the weekend was a great experience.
Legs are crispy noodles today. Stage 3 was savage.
kudos to margarite
Red Scare to Mengoni
Seriously, that little russian prick can climb.
Was riding for Adler this weekend at Tour of Elk Grove. Would someone care to explain?
A few NYC-based teams won respective Team GC’s:

Kudos to Mengoni
no NY Tri results?
People got wet, there were some crashes because nobody knows how to handle a TT bike in the wet, and everybody got a medal at the end.
Kind of like preschool.
have some respect, 2 people passed away during the swim.
and this is not a joke, i saw a guy with a nyc tri medal around his neck and the official t-shirt walking down columbus ave and 69 He was smoking , he still had runnning shoes on and compression tight things tri guys wear
merckx you dope

Only one person died at the NY Tri, two people had heart attacks.
2 people died.
thanks for pointing out that only one person died at the Tri, but another had a heart attack and subsequently died at a hospital. You sir, will probably never die this way since you are heartless.
Oh, that is new since I read the article on it this morning. Earlier today the woman was still in hospital. Very sad. She was young too.
Tons of pics posted by SKN Photography on their facebook page. You might be lucky enough to have had a picture of snapped of you walking up Devil’s Kitchen…
Thanks Dieter, that was such an awful crash, I am glad he walked away with just that.
I second that…glad the kid is OK, and best wishes if he is reading it. I hope I don’t see a crash like that one again.
He was in good spirits. Not riding, but at the coffee shop telling the tale.
