Colonel Mustard? In the den?
This week we are faced with a “whodunnit”. We do know that there were races of all sorts out there, but we haven’t the slightest clue who won.
If you won at the Pete Senia Memorial, the Westwood Velo Cross race, the Hillbilly Hustle, the Campmor Chain Stretcher Mountain Bike, or the Kissena Women’s Track Clinic, please let us know.
First
Did anyone actually race on Sunday?
Great job to these guys showing up in force in the rain to help out marshalling and pacing the MS Ride yesterday. Nice to see Razorfish, SouthAfrica and a few other CRCA guys out there as well.
anyone got em?
please post.

PP was a rainy mess but a lot of fun for those who like to suffer in the rain.
Schumi positve, natch.
Who’s next?
I got my $ on Bernard Kohl.
I saw the Cervelo P4 at Cadence today. Don’t know how they got it. It’s much nicer in person.
I did not win but did have my bones rocked in a crash over the bars on one of the nastiest courses of the year. Rain + rocks and tree roots = lots of blood and pain. Hats off to all that raced and those who finished.
TEAM UPDATES (from anonymous word of mouf’)

every cat 1/2 in the northeast – crying
Was a great race!
Sommerville sports-growing, and accepting applications.
Sad about Fiordi, Target, Kenda if true. They race alot and had great results. Mengoni, Nerac barely had teams this year. Healthnet I thought was being reformed under a new sponsor. Rite Aide were basically a regional Cat1 team. Those racers will form somthing I am sure.
Bottom line, Amateur bike race is not a way to make a living. Go pro in Europe or go get a real job and race for fun.
but not a powerhouse by any means.
this just in, bitches.
fiordifrutta is continuing in 2009 with a new sponsor.
yippie-yi-yo.

Fun race. Perfect weather. Free beer.
Hey Greg Olsen, should I put off my retirement? And shouldn’t you clean your desk area when CNN comes?

Some strong NY area representation.
Bandit Racing also folded
olsen on cnn
what for?
They interviewed him about his Cat 2 upgrade and what Adler has in store for 2009.
more crca racing?
Yeah WTF. This year had some slim pickin’s as far as races were concerned (hey, aren’t they a racing club?). I know Ken and crew have done a thankless job and are working on our behalf for more; I am just disappointed that there’s nothing else until March.
Please don’t start the “what about CX” argument…

nice Greg, wish our pres was this calm talking to us.. 😉
I hear that Wilson Vasquez got his ass handed to him at the Chain Stretcher MT bike race, didn’t even finish. True?
you are not as dumb as you look
There might still be an open race in November put on by MCA…
Its Britney, bitch!
Anyone who raced Chainstretcher got rocked. The course was very slick and nasty. Most dnfs were do to crashes or snapped chains. Tough day in the woods.
The email for Sunday’s race said that it’s the last open race in PP for the year…..? 🙁
A whole month of bearable weather and no races. In march I’ll be FREEZING racing with out of shape sketchers….
Whine
Whine

Tito, pass me a tissue.
The Nov. race will be in Central Park, which is good because we switch clocks Nov.2
how about a non sanctioned new years day style race to bear and back
you’re too late johnny. that already exists…
The more CRCA racing post wasn’t a request, it was regarding Adler’s 2009 season goals. it was a joke, and you are a moron.
not really a great joke, because they actually raced out of town more than most sub-teams this year.
?
rain, more rain, more rain and the New Jersey crew lit up the course, Vlad steals the money (easily)on a solo >>>>Ricky Lowe (sic?) comes/Sneaks around a wheel (legally anyway) to take 2nd and J Bradley closes out the podium.. where was everyone? You’ll all be crying when its 32 in march and dry.. it was at least warm Sunday…
winner should have been DQ’d. while the field was neutralized behind the pace car, he passed the pace car with the 123’s while we waited for the pace car to resume.
bad sportsmanship accepting the trophy.
Cat 3/4 winner @ Senia should also be dq’ed because he beat me. Not fair at all. I wanted to win.
The Cat 5 winner rode solo for 5 1/2 laps to win…you should be ashamed to suggest he be DQ’d, you cunt.
all the cat 5s should be DQ’d for being cat 5s in october
is not a team its a way of life
No, it was a team and it folded.
No, it was a way of life.
