The Al Toefield handicap race is generally well liked, if for no other reason then that at this point in the season, any variation on a bike race is appreciated. The rabbits (4’s) were sent off at 6:30; 2 minutes and 40 seconds later,

Geez I had to wait a whole two hours to see the results since I came home from the race, what are you guys going to do next beam it to a satellite the moment the race is over?

Great job as usual!

I loved how all over course all you could see is toppled pylons as soon as the fields combined. The first lap and 1/2 of both fields together made for some pretty dodgy riding skills. Lots of shouting and yelling, guys were jumping diag. without looking back for clearance and the expected accordian effect at the base of the incline. Things smoothed out on laps 7 and up. Sticking your nose out just a little bit meant eating chunks of wind! One could get to the front of this huge field but it would be a job indeed. You had to ride close along the sides and bounce in and out of the peloton and do it in waves when the course opened up. I’ve never done 15 laps in Prospect. My yo yoing about the pack was met with horrible cramps – ouch.

Amazing job for the Polish Rider, strong guy…seemed like the safest spot is actually riding close to the joggers lane. At least you have an escape route there. Yeah the field was moving along a good pace. ML thought they had a guy up in the break..probably why they didn’t chase. VB guys tried their best to reel the break back to give Ricky a shot..but the break was moving too fast for us. Break was always in sight but we just couldn’t organize to reel them back in. Not that i wanted to..since our team had someone in the break. Congrats to all the winners.

Its hard to say who writes a better race report, Alex or Justin? It’s pretty close which ever you prefer, I like ’em both better than the guys at Bicycling et al…
