This is one of my favorite races. The course is really fun, with a short steep hill, a winding narrow section through the woods, a screaming fast descent, and a wide-open slightly downhill finish. There’s music, food and spectators, you can register the day of the race, it’s only about an hour from NYC, and it starts in the afternoon. — MH
