Join Bicycling magazine and Festina watches for a VIP event hosted on Thursday, June 15 at the Tourneau TimeMachine (57th Street at Madison Avenue)
‘Tour de France Confidential’ will star American cycling’s biggest names sharing an insider perspective to what really happens at the world’s most grueling and festive sporting event.
Cycling’s preeminent champions, coaches and commentators will tell stories of the Tour’s intense rivalries, feuds and alliances; hidden tricks from inside the peloton; the physical and mental rigors of racing 2,000 miles in three weeks; and the Tour’s circus of off-the-bike diversions. It’s behind-the-scenes access typically reserved for racers and their closest confidants.
Starring:
BOB ROLL is a 4-time TdF veteran from the original 7-Eleven/Motorola Cycling Team and current cycling commentator for OLN
CHRIS CARMICHAEL is the personal coach to 7-time TdF champion Lance Armstrong and a TdF veteran from the 7-Eleven Cycling Team
JONATHAN VAUGHTERS was Lance’s teammate on the TdF-winning 1999 USPS team and is Director Sportif for Team TIAA-CREF
The discussion will be led by ESPN cycling analyst JOHN EUSTICE
