If there’s one thing that I enjoy, it’s content that creates itself. And since we’re in a week of slothful laziness, let’s roll with that notion and just put up a list, which is the laziest of all forms of journalism. Our list is the ranking of the top five pages from the past year, and how you may ask, did we get this ? I went to our primitive page counter and saw which ones were the most popular. It’s that easy!
In fifth place, we have "Garmin Mounts: Barfly vs Quarq", it’s not exactly Ali vs Frazier, but this page proves that eventually all gear reviews get googled and put into forums somewhere.
In fourth place is "Behind the Scenes of the Contador CAS hearing with Michael Ashenden", another informative and interesting conversation with Michael Ashenden. One really has to wonder how it got onto our site.
In third place is "A Filthy Business Indeed", where guest letter writer Michael Ashenden takes a shark-sized bite out of sock puppet Phil Liggett. It may be time for Phil to consider not talking any more.
In second place is "David Anthony Tests Positive", and again, I reiterate that DA can intercourse himself.

Other than a computer mount it is all about drugs sad statement about our sport. There were great moments in NYC 2012 cycling . I would rather celebrate that. I still remember racing with a cycling legend F. Moser in Prospect park.

I addressed it in another thread but I guess I should’ve put it in the DA page as well. VeloNews took the legs out of our write up so there was almost nothing for us to add. I confirmed the source of his drugs and also spoke to USADA to make sure that he acted alone and there wasn’t a ‘ring’. A few people recommended that I just drop it, since it wasn’t worth stirring up the vitriol again. Since that was also the lazy option I chose it.
For those who are interested, DA opines in the latest Road Bike Action. My favorite part of that article is his ambivalence as to whether the doping aided his performance. Still delusional.
I miss Fromaggi and hope he returns in written form for 2013. Less doping more cycling. We have a great local racing scene, pro cycling is awesome – positive in ’13!

Do people really believe that Dan and Andy were in on a doping conspiracy with a guy who was a sub par cat 2? That’s perhaps as idiotic as DA doping for the races he won.
This isn’t really that hard to follow. DA screwed Dan and Andy by doping. It made them look really bad. He then told them that he’d tell his story so they could publish it. Instead he ran to Velonews, screwing them again. The guy is a first rate attention whore. NYvelocity basically centered on nothing more than tirades about DA for weeks. Why should they stir it again just to give the guy yet more attention.
Guys like that should wallow in obscurity. They had nothing new to add so why should they continue give a guy that repeatedly fucked them over attention. DA deserves nothing less than a swift kick in the balls. I hope he never has the audacity to race a bike again.
I like and respect both Dan and Andy and love the site. But, it’s ok, let’s all just admit they screwed the pooch on this one and move on. There’s no defending it. They promised something and didn’t deliver. We don’t pay for anything here, no biggie, but in journalism credibility is all you got, and you lose some of it when you promise something and don’t deliver.
I appreciate Dan and Andy letting it drop. Less doping talk and more cycling talk in Lucky 13.

I’m still waiting for the write-ups about women cyclists. I mean, they’re generally the only ones who can really do justice to spandex and I’m getting tired of seeing men wagging their tongues to the camera as they speed by, or in the case of one rider unnamed, squirting their water bottle – that shot made me quite uncomfortable.
