Press Release
TEAm Lipton is proud to announce that three of our athletes – Anna Milkowski, Liza Rachetto and Kristen LaSasso – have been chosen to participate in USA Cycling’s Talent I.D. Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., from July 4 through 12. USA Cycling identified 20 female cyclists that have the most potential to be part of the U.S. National Cycling Team, based on their high levels of physiological and psychological capability to succeed at the international level.
The Camp plays an important role in USA Cycling’s talent development goal as it begins building a younger, stronger and highly competitive team for the 2008 Olympics. Its programming includes lectures on training, nutrition, tactics and strategy, as well as performance testing, bike fit evaluations, interviews with National Team coaches, intensive group training rides and a time trial. The athletes will also have the opportunity to interact closely with some of the best coaches in the cycling peloton, such as USA Cycling COO and Athletics Director Steve Johnson and Coaching and Sports Science Director Sam Callan.
In addition to the upcoming Olympics, athletes who are selected to the USA Cycling national squad will also represent the country at other high-profile international sporting competitions such as the World Championships and the PAN-AM Games. Typically, about half of participating Camp cyclists are invited to join the national team.

TEAm Lipton’s significant presence at Camp confirms our stellar reputation in the professional cycling circuit and recognizes our athletes’ accomplishments over the last few years. The girls are extremely excited for the potential opportunity to represent our country on the international stage, as well as share best practices and lessons from Camp with the rest of the team. We are proud to receive this honor while wearing Lipton colors!
We hope you will join us in congratulating Anna, Liza and Kristen and wish them the best of luck at Camp.
