Meanwhile, in a far off distant land call “Queens”, there was track racing and day 1 of the Lucarelli and Castaldi: 6 Days of Kissena series. On a velodrome. Lots of people showed up. So many that field changes had to take place and the cat 5s had to be split from the cat 4s and put into two separate groups. Jose Guzman won men’s cat 5A group while Michael Pelletier won the men’s cat 5B group. Rosael Torres Davis had a decisive victory in the women’s cat 4 group and Rozzie Patterson won the women’s 1/2/3 field. Ros Knopov took the men’s cat 4 title and finally Erin Young, who flew all the way from MN to race track bikes, won the men’s 1/2/3 race. Full(ish) results can be found here and pictures can be found here and here.
