NAMED TITLE SPONSOR OF NY’S KISSENA CYCLING CLUB
ROAD RACES

Cadence Cycling & Multisport Centers
of New York has inked a deal with Charlie Issendorf, race director for New York’s premier
cycling club, Kissena Cycling Club (www.kissena.info). The agreement stipulates that Cadence will
be the title sponsor for all 2008 Kissena Cycling Club road events which
will include the following 26 races:
The Cadence Prospect Park Series (7 races)
The Cadence Tuesday Night Race Series (15 races)
The Cadence Tour de Parc.
The Cadence Kings County Circuit Race
The Cadence Calvert-Toefield Memorial
The Cadence Catch Kissena Road Race
The Cadence Cup Overall Series (Pro/Category 1-2-3)
The Cadence Cup Overall Series (Category 4)
The Cadence Cup Overall Series (Category 5)
New to Kissena’s race calendar for 2008
will be the Cadence Cup Series. The Cadence Cup will link the 7 Cadence
Prospect Park series races into an overall series based on points. Race
leader jerseys will be awarded after each event to the series leaders.
The Cadence Cup will be for three separate categories – Pro/1-2-3,
Category 4 and Category 5. Leader jerseys will be provided free of charge
by Champion System and Cadence logos will be prominently displayed on
the leader jerseys.
Cadence’s sponsorship of this program
with the highly respected Kissena Cycling Club reinforces Cadence’s
dedication to promoting the sport of bike racing for cyclists of all
ages and abilities.
About The Kissena Cycling Club
The Kissena Cycling Club was founded
in 1963 and is the premier cycling club in New York City. Kissena is
dedicated to supporting bicycling and cyclists of all levels with a
special interest in developing new (young and old) racers. Kissena promotes
a large number of races in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park and Floyd Bennett
Field, Queens’ Kissena Velodrome and Long Island’s Cedar Creek Park.
The Kissena Cycling Club is registered with USA Cycling (www.usacycling.org), the governing body of cycling in the United
States.
The Cup is a points series based on the results of the Prospect Park Series. Awards (and a leader’s jersey) will be presented to each category leader throughout the 7 races.

Great to see Cadence supporting the racing community. They just got one new customer for a tune-up, at least.
