This is the thirteenth consecutive year of the Bethel Spring Series and this year Carpe Diem Promotions has added a new and exciting race for women. In prior years there was always a women’s race at the Series; however, the women’s field was mixed with the masters 40+ and juniors. As the size of the women’s field increased Carpe Diem Promotions decided to hold separate women’s races with special prize money and primes.

The first Bethel women’s only race was held on March 12th and had a great turn out. This exciting race featured several of the top riders in the area and teams such as Team Advil-Chapstick, Comedy Central/New Cannan Cyclery, Anthem-CCCC. The strong field competed for Victoria Secrets and Banana Republic gift certificate primes as well as the prize purse.

The next women’s only races will be held on March 26th and April 9th. With even bigger prize lists and more exciting primes these races should continue to draw a top field. On April 2nd the women’s field will race in the combined masters and juniors field but will count in the points total for the Series Overall Championship.

In addition to the women’s race, the Bethel Spring Series offers racing for Category 5, Category 4, Masters 40+, Juniors, Category 3/4 and Pro/1/2/3. So come to Bethel and have some fun racing in a racer friendly environment.
