Rolling hate:
This is the part of the site where the ongoing reviews get stashed. About a month ago, due to the generosity of Mark Alden at Campmor, I reviewed a SRAM PC-1090R 10 speed chain. I’m running a Shimano 10-speed drivetrain, the chain is still working and hasn’t broken yet. If that’s enough for you, feel free to continue trolling the internet for whatever it is you’re looking for – my guess is Judas Priest lyrics, but that’s just a guess.
Chains are the appendix of the bicycle. You only notice them when something goes wrong. Usually it’s when they break and you’re about 30 miles from home. Then you get to shift into MacGyver mode and try and get your sad self home. So far I have avoided that circumstance with the SRAM chain. Bingo! A ringing endorsement!
I did have one issue with the chain, but it was mostly my own doing. After I dropped my bike to the basement after a rainy race morning, I didn’t touch it again for about 2 weeks. The chain went a little rusty on me and my drive train was a little “chunkyâ€, I lubed the chain up and now it’s running like a champ again, no noises and no sticky link problems. So as an added bonus, you can abuse the chain also!
Review written! I get to justify hanging onto the chain longer.
Original review is here.
Rolling hate index here, but we’ve only done this chain so far..
any empire news??
i hear basso’s signing with them.
Anyone try running the SRAM 11×26 cassette with Shimano 10-speed? Should work, right?
Bonjour! What a super websight! Very refreshing to peruse from where we live in Paris (France). I eat frogs and drink wine. Woold like more informatons on this. Best regards! Mikael.
Since one of the ideas is to split strings not into words, but hopefully into phrases more semantically informative than the words they are made of, doing that better should mean better suggestions, and avoiding what essentially are word n-tuples should make for smaller data and slightly faster querying.
If there were in the world today any large number of people who desired their own happiness more than they desired the unhappiness of others, we could have paradise in a few years.
