Can-Am U19 Challenge

My senior project officially began last Monday, the 14th. Since then, I have been training, racing, and working with Mike Sherry at Performance Labs HC. With a poor showing personally at Bear Mountain, where Connor Sallee was our highest placed rider at 11th, I was looking forward to a full training program, one without the 5 a.m. wakeups and late night CP rides that accommodate the school day. In hindsight, I may have been too eager to start as I dove right in, doing a four and a half hour ride in the back hills of Nyack after my last day of school on Monday, then a three-hour ride Tuesday morning, followed by racing Floyd that evening. Getting dropped in that race and talking it over with Mike Sherry the next day was enough to convince me that I needed to train more shrewdly. I took it very easy on Wednesday, and felt a lot better during another hilly, four and a half hour ride on Thursday. Another easy day Friday, spending more time planning the weekend
