Gotham Bikes

Shop information

Gotham Bikes is one of only a few shops below Canal street. A ramp leads to the show-floor of this West Broadway shop while repairs and assemblies are handled in the basement area. Mountain, road, and hybrid bikes are held in two large racks on the right of the shop with Jerseys and other clothing lining the walls and center area of the store.

Gotham has an abundance Specialized models available, which are on display in the shops windows similar to it’s sister shop on the Upper West Side, Toga bikes. You’ll be able to pick up an SL2 here before anywhere else in the city, too. Other lines Gotham carries include Merlin, Litespeed, Cannondale, Giant, Dahon, Bianchi, and Guru. Rentals are available in the warmer months.

Gotham and Toga shop staff lead Group rides throughout the year, but they suggest calling ahead to check if rides are still on. These rides include Saturday morning rides in the spring, and Wednesday Evening rides year round in Central Park. Gotham also offers fitting services.

A Milano Hybrid is 650. A standard flat fix is 14.10 after tax, and you can expect to pay about 72.99 for a ten speed cassette. Like many city shops, you can pay as much as 10,000 or more for a fully tricked out set of wheels. (Bike and wheels, that is).
