Well, you’ve done it – made it through another year of bike racing. You should give yourself a pat on the back. Unless said back is sore from shouldering a cyclocross bike, carrying your race bike up the stairs of your walkup apartment building or banged up because you got cat 6’d crossing a bridge and had to plow into the railings. In that case, put your feet up and watch the Vuelta.
However, if you still feel the need for speed there’s still racing going on. The Floyd Graveyard Series continues, the Thompson Criterium of Doylestown is on Saturday and the Tour de [apparently they’re French over the river] Fort Lee is on Sunday.
In ‘cross news, Nittany Lion is this weekend, get ready for some fast grass action. If you prefer dust to grass (or maybe it will be muddy this year) Silk City is on Saturday. Riverfront Cross is Sunday and Kirkland Cross is also Sunday, it’s the first NYCROSS series race. If you’re racing cross you probably registered for these months ago, so I’m not even sure it’s worth it for me to type them out, but there you go.
