Another weekend and another chance at proving to each other the hours we spend during the week riding bikes, talking about bikes, thinking about bikes, fixing bikes, etc were worth that super solid pack finish we knew we were capable of. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back now, great job everyone!

On Sat in Piscataway, NJ, which is very near to where I grew up, there is The Watermelon Criterium for the relatively small few categories that qualify. There are three things you should do if you head down that way:
1. Go to the grease trucks, address is 159 College ave, and get yourself a fat cat or a fat darrell (or some other fat sandwich). It may not be the full experience of the old grease trucks, but the food is the same.
2. If none of those strikes your fancy, go to Destination Dogs not far away and get yourself a proper sausage/dog and beer.
3. Wash it all down with a Thomas Sweet blend-in of your choosing over on Easton Ave.

If you can still move after all that eating on Sun, there is the CRCA Dave Jordan Central Park Classic (2015) in CP. I trust most of us remember Dave, but for those that don’t or want to know more about his life, the CRCA has a great write up here and an interview Schmalz did with him back in 2006 is located here.
