There’s a lot of typing of results to be done, so just imagine that I said something either clever or mildly off-putting and we can get on with the naming of names.

Yup he won, and I got 2nd. Let’s he how long he can milk the cat 4s. Not as easy as it use to be thanks to this site.
This site is the culmination all of the worst aspects of road racing that I assumed maybe existed but tried to ignore until I accidentally stumbled upon a bunch of whiners getting on Baris’ case about sticking in the cat 4s. Straight up his first year racing, an absolutely incredible natural athlete who nonetheless wants to stick around before upgrading to Cat3 and dial in bike handling and group riding dynamics. Who are the people on this site? Please tell me they represent an extreme (yet stridently vocal) minority within the racing community.
Why you MAD BRO?
The P12 and P1 race at Raritan, Bound Brook, and Somerville were crash-fests, with at least one significant crashes on the final lap of each event. I think its notable that all three crashes at raritan and bound brook were caused by the same rider, Alex Cox of CCB. He managed to get into the top 10 and lose it on one of the final corners to take 10-25 riders with him each time. He also took one too many free laps at Bound brook while he fetched his spare wheels from the parking lot…
Mathias Cogset, I really enjoy your attempt to defend Alex Cox, but both times the crashes were caused by unnecessary and dangerous moves that he made trying to make room where there was not room at all. I know this because I witnessed both of them first hand and it’s really amazing that I made it out of the weekend unscathed. We all understand the dangers that come with crit racing, but we do not need riders like Alex making these races any more dangerous than they already are.
Nvmd, found it. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10203851213984985&set=vb.1359485855&type=2&theater
So blame the guy whose wheel you overlapped on a rough course, but don’t blame the guy who takes both hands off the bars in the front of the pack while riding over painted asphalt.
It’s excusable because a) he’s a junior and b) he didn’t crash out the whole field, only himself. But obviously he has been watching too much bike racing on tv. Likewise the teammate, hands off the bars celebrating in the background like he’s Cav’s leadout guy.
ha dumbass

According to this site he has 67 points as a cat 4, and that’s not counting FBF which has points for cat 4s, but not cat 3s as they are masters. http://www.road-results.com/racer/92492
In Baris’s case, I call him a sandbagger with lots respect. He can sprint and climb.
It was a video I came across in my search. His stats show he places well in alot of races. I am an avid fan. HUGE FAN of bike racing. My curiosity got the better of me and I just started researching. I will repeat ah again I am not there racing with you guys but it would be a shame if any of this criticism is true.
US crits are as challenging as pro road races, where you have to turn, you know, left and right, not just f-ing left OR right, as if bike racing were NASCAR*:
http://www.cyclingnews.com/giro-ditalia/stage-16/photos/307901
* track racing, however, is a whole other thing.
no one ever said that other than some complete douchetard who no one wants to hang out with.
Again, what was the Sam guy wearing and DAN or ANDY, change the captchas or I’m not coming to this site anymore, I like coming here, but for goodness sake do some simple sight maintenance please. Who’s driving this Popsicle stand?
Adler, Central, Very, Ham, Two, Gears, Yes. I have actually memorized your captchas (yikes), change them!!
Look again. More than enough points as a 4 to upgrade but that’s on him and his team, I suppose.
Well, second.
I thanks TK for his coaching: http://iamelicurtfuld.wordpress.com/2014/05/26/52614-tour-of-somerville/
He didn’t crash the field out cause he got lucky…What an ass.
I like the Rockleigh Rule- Take your hands off the bar and relegation is coming.
I never did anything stupid when I was a kid, never :-/
Looks like Andrew Walsh sprinting from 25th place took out Willie Peyton. Nice job dude.
Look closer. You’re counting his Cat 5 races. He does not have enough points for a Cat 3 upgrade. Road-Reuslts doesn’t distinguish between your category within the same year.
Let me race with him just a little longer. He’s new to the team and the Cat.4’s
who ever took that gopro video needs to stop touching their brakes if the want to ever get a result
Mr. Froomestrong cannot be bothered with your ‘lives’ any more than he can be bothered to figure out the difference between ‘sight’ and ‘site.’
ps – GREG
How you all say “we understand the dangers of crit racing,” and then proceed to say something proving that you absolutely do not understand since SOMEONE WILL DO SOMETHING STUPID

Before I started to speak I did my research. Impressive record. I’m can’t speak on whether he has caused these crashes that are spoken about but he reminds me of Mike Tyson when I’m reading the remarks. Tyson was hated by many and called a dirty fighter but he was one hell of a sportsman. I’m not to sure if he changed his way of racing he would have the wins he has now. Only time will tell. Best of luck and I wish safety to all racing.
I have no idea what point that video was supposed to prove.
Does anyone have a picture of Noah Granigan celebrating his win, moments before crashing? #pullinganoah
Does this mean he said fuck off, or did all the negative attention catch the eye of the USCF rep and he got booted up?
Sam got 15th in the cat 2 race. How did he place in the cat 3 race?
What Kit was this Sam guy wearing?
Now that Sam Frias is out of the picture, time to focus on the next sandbagger.
http://www.usacycling.org/results/index.php?compid=413052
I do believe that is more then enough points to be forced to cat 3.
Can’t have it both ways.
Video of CCB rider crashing at Bound Brook
@Sandbagger too. He hasn’t done enough 4 races yet. A lot of those are when he was a 5.
being called a sandbagger on this site should count for at least a couple of pts
Cox does just fine. He wins races every year and got his cat 1 at an early age. If you don’t believe he is entitled to race in your field I suggest you look up his results. I seem to recall UHC crashing (all of them) in the biggest race of the weekend as well. It happens. Small guys crash because they cant see over people and big guys crash because they take up more room. Ultimately when you do inevitably go down the only fault/luck of riding where you were is your own. If you tailgun you’ll stay safe but you wont win. If you sit top 10 you might win but you might crash. This is why you agree that cycling is an inherently dangerous sport that might kill you every time you race. No one prevents you from winning or crashing but yourself. Learn how to win without riding near people who may concern you.

Any relation to the junior clown that wiped himself out yesterday?
Alex is a good rider. I can’t speak to the free lap issue but give or take 2-10 inches and I could have gone down 6 times this weekend, but I managed to keep the rubber side down all three days. I’m going to hash it up to luck. Maybe Alex going down so often is just the nature of crit racing?
PENIS
Not only did Sam Fries race the cat 2 at Somerville, but if you look through the pics of the cat 2 race, he was also really close (perhaps causing) a crash in the last 50 meters.
Wow. I see a lot of curiosity surrounding this rider name Sam. He must be one hell of a rider. Curious minds would like to know. You know what they say, when your name stays on the lips of others, you have made your mark☆
hard to believe either of you guys actually race beyond cat 5 given this dumb argument
Would really suck for this guy if this went viral…

Theo Seatmast, clearly you have never been in a pro/1 crit. Look at most road races, you ride in a pack EASILY for miles until the road goes up. Last time I did the Pro/1/2 at Catskills on Stage 3 I was able to sit in and relax for 40 miles. Didn’t have to deal with corners, positioning, concerns about getting shoved into a curb, etc. We just coasted for over an hour until the race actually began. So you can’t say that one is harder than another. The last Pro/1 crit I did saw 75 riders dropped out of 112. The pace was the high and on one turn you could feel your wheels sliding out on every lap. I’ve never had to wrench my bars so hard to make a turn. There were crashes, primes to recover from and a lot of single file riding. Try sprinting for a prime in a pro 1 race and not getting dropped. Then tell me it was easy.
Dan changing the captas must be a simple change in the CSS. Is there an ftp site for this website? WHo controls it, I’ll fix it at no charge. This is stupid. Or call the people hosting it and tell them your site is hacked.
Looks like Aytan upgraded from 5 to 4 at the end of April and Orchard Beach was his first Cat 4 race. Are you really callling someone a sandbagger after only one month as a 4?
i want to thank God for using dr ADAGBA as my source of saviour after 7 year of joblessness and my lover left me alone for 5 years,Have just been heart broken until i go in contact with dr ADAGBA after i saw a lady testimony on how she was helped by this same dr ADAGAB,So i decided to get in contact with him and when i told him all my problems he laughed and said this is not a problem that everything will be ok in 3days time.Exactly the 3rd day my ex lover called me i was shocked and what surprise me the most was that a company i applied for over 4month called me and said i should resume work as soon as possible.Am so grateful to drADAGBA, if you wish in contacting him adagbaspiritualtemple@yahoo.com or is cell number +2348115200304
Guess who just EASILY won the field sprint in the CRCA B field? BARIS AYTAN from Ayvalik Turkey.
He has over 30pts as a cat 4 already. That’s an automatic upgrade.
Not according to Road-Results.
Assume that he raced A TON in Turkey. You think he just showed up in NY and started winning with no race experience? Delusional.
http://www.usacycling.org/results/?compid=413052
Why are you MAD BRO?
Let the man stay as a 4 for a little longer. Upgrading from 4-3 is not about results but more about bike handling and learning to ride with a team. That’s the purpose of the cat 3 field. Someone who’s been a 4 for only a month is a dangerous rider to have as a 3. Likewise, a Cat 3 who just enters his first 2 race is someone that usually gets in the way, corners slowly and rides like a jackass.
Nice vid.

Change the Captas please
My evil plan is all coming together.
this sandbagger stalking is creepy
Look
Schmalz sits 3rd in the overall FBF Tuesday standings.
The guy in 1st, Sam, gets stalked on this site, forced upgraded, and Dan moves into 2nd.
The guy in 2nd, Baris, gets stalked on this site, forced upgraded, and we have a new series leader: Schmalz.
We do it for Dan.
Seriously weird team tactics, but hey if it works.
Baris was a cat five three months ago, he’s still learning how to race a bike. Being in a cat four race seems about right.
We are the 99% Down with those sandbaggers in the 1%!
And… Baris gets 2nd in last nights FBF 3/4 race. C’mon Ragot, time to upgrade the guy don’t cha thinK?
I think we made Amerigo Bartape upset
Set to music, bartape’s rant sounds just like that song from the movie Frozen that all the little kids like, except with even less testosterone.
I think NYVelocity has set a record for most bot infultrated site on the internet.
What a fucking joke. A Cat 4 sandbagger. EVERYONE upgrades to and from your NOTHING races. Shut the fuck up and train. And stop riding everyone’s dicks whining about how they’re spoiling your NOTHING race. Did he win and you got second? NO.
Just shut the fuck up and ride your bike you fucking whining pre-schooler…
I done had enough of you fucks. Everyone does not get a medal..
Inspired Dan’s masterful plan.
I create like 90% of the content on this damn site and now I have to change the captchas too?
What will it take to change the captcha’s?
Maybe launch a kickstarter? How can the price of fixing this be more than the time spent deleting bot posts for years on end…
