Butt ton
It’s another weekend of spring bike racing gluttony in the New York area, so strap on your feedbag and let us explore the options together.
Saturday there’s the 2014 Lucarelli & Castaldi Branchbrook Park Spring Series: DST Tour in Newark, NJ.
Also on Saturday is the first Trooper David Brinkerhoff Memorial Race Series race in Coxsackie, NY.
On Sunday, there’s a Spring Series race in Prospect Park.
There’s also the 2014 South Jersey Spring Series – Dragon Criterium in Woolwich Township, NJ.
And finally there’s the 2014 Bethel Spring Series – Tour de Kirche – p/b Outdoor Sports Center in Bethel, CT.
That, my friends, is a butt ton of racing.
Here is a video from todays PP 3/4 Race…
Its only 3.5 Laps because I got a flat…
I did get the 3/4 Finish 3man break plus field

From Branchbrook Park Saturday:
Cat 1/2/3 – no breakaways. Lupus did well to keep things all together with their squad of around 50 guys to set up for Scott Savory. However, they were foiled in the end as Everhard Paredes of Mengoni snuck away on the final stretch to take the win.
1. Everhard Paredes – Mengoni
2. Scott Savory – Lupus
3. Paul Daniels
4. Paul Burrows – United
5. Mark Light – Cycle Solutions
Master’s 35+:

5. Bill Elliston – Van Dessel

Might be half the distance of Central Park but it has 3x the potholes.
Be careful out there on Sunday.
potholes are concentrated on the west side between 3rd st & 9th st….take a lap a get to know where they are if you don’t ride there every day.
Button racing?
synonym for “butt load” “ass load”
also used as “metric butt ton”

Race day registration open all fields.
If you are efficient when you Organize your Gran Fondo, you will have a butt load ready to drop.
Spring Series is in Prospect this week.
50 deg, slight chance of AM rain, strong south AM wind changing to west PM wind. Roads are clear.

In Prospect Park, not Central Park this Sunday.
Corrected, sorry about that
Last year’s Bikereg page says that Spring Series in PP is cancelled, and some confused folks have spread the word that tomorrow’s race is cancelled. AVD sent an email to confirm that the race is on.
