Spring bicycle racing has nearly reached its end, but the posting of results marches on, so let us share some moments together where we pore over the results and quietly say to ourselves, “That guy won? I’ve beat him a million times!”
At the Zwiedzanie Bethel on Sunday, John Harris of CCAP Pro-Am won the pro/1/2/3 race. BrittLee Bowman of Stan’s NoTubes p/b enduranceWERX won the women’s race. Michael Markowicz of Cycling Concepts Racing Team won the cat 3/4 race. Gary Steinberg of Brauer/Mick Management won the 45+ race. Colin Tanner of Sixcycle-RK&O won the cat 4 race. Thomas Evelein of CT Cycling Advancement Program won the juniors race. Jason Atwater won the cat 5 race. Results are here.
The Bethel Spring Series overall competition also wrapped up on Sunday, but as of now there’s only a 1-page PDF showing that Eneas Freyre of TTEndurance won the overall pro/1/2/3 title. More results to show up here.
And that’s all I have, I refuse to be catfished into looking for Spring Series results, so if you won on Saturday or Sunday, let us know.
Finally got in
I didn’t win the Spring Series race.
Now if another 5 riders write in, we’ll be able to extrapolate who won.

A cat 5 crashed so bad at Rahway Crit that he had to be airlifted out. Hope he has not permanent injuries but anyone know what happend to him? Hope he gets well soon.
Apparently he had brain surgery. There was a thread on the NJ cycling Facebook page, but it was deleted.
“here was a bad crash in the first race this morning at Rahway. One of the riders, Ambrose Stafford was seriously injured and was taken out by Medevac. The update I just received said there is a neck injury, as well as surgery to relieve brain swelling. No more details than that, but he is in critical condition. Please say a prayer and hope he makes it through.” -DA
“just spoke with his wife… He is at the University Medical Hospital in Newark… He is in ICU and has not regained consciousness yet… They are awaiting him to come to so they can assess his abilities… Hoping we can get over and visit him once he is able to have visitors… Damn” -KL
John Durso won the P12 Crit at Lower Providence…

“Following last year’s podium, I was hoping for a strong showing this year.”
A few paragraphs later:
“But I was racing this for fitness, not for a result.”
Scott Mills of JL Velo won the cat 3 Many Lopez memorial crit in NJ
Being in the right mindset, I was able to stay on top of the competition and keep a good headspace
It seems they pinned that thread about the crashed rider to the top of the thread. I just missed it on my mobile.
What does that mean, “headspace”?
It means he spent a lot of time in the wind for no reason then got badly outsprinted in the finale.
At least now we know he is not a sprinter. Or is he?
