Sponging on

It was an eventful weekend of racing in weather that ran the spectrum from wet to dry to wet once again.

At the CRCA club race on Saturday, Adam Alexander of Foundation won the A race. There was some inter-breakaway confusion in the women’s race and the winner is one of three women: Laura Lee Vo (Radical Media), Aimee Layton (Genaro Restaurant) or Meredith Uhl (Innveration Fitness/Stan’s NoTubes). I refuse to choose just one, and declare them all winners. Stefan Singer of Siggi’s/NYVelocity won the B race. Glenn Hattrick won the C race. Results are here. Photos are here.

We would also like to send out wishes for a speedy recovery to all involved in the crashes on Saturday morning, especially to David Anthony. We on the BH/Comedy Central team will be selling tickets to win a raffle to sponge bathe Mr Anthony at local races. I would also make not-very-helpful remarks about the others involved in the crashes, but I don’t know the names of anyone else involved.

Details from Sunday’s FBF race are not available yet, but pictures can be found here and here.

It should be appropriate to separate the relatively few bad ones from the rest– except that there’s an internal system of support for the worst of them (the blue wall of silence, etc). Therefore, as a group, they’re abusive bullies.

“relatively few bad ones”?! are you serious? beat cops commit offenses at a greater rate than civilians.

Where can I buy my tix to sponge bathe him? Or can you at least set up a DA tribute page?

DA is a hell of a guy and second to that he’s an admirable racer. I wish him a speedy recovery and may he come back even stronger.

Marco Swage

Get well DA. We all know the infamous Milkman will be back suckling on the teats of victory in no time!

Anyone else see the stories about the NHL combine. They use VO2 testing on a bike to test both max power and a threshold type test. Results are in W/KG. They need to televise it next year.

Bummer, missed that one, but this one time in band camp there was a Silca frame pump and….

The boys in blue should stop and frisk cyclists, especially cyclists in tight fitting clothing and expensive bicycles, you never know what could be concealed in that lycra/spandex or carbon fiber frame
