Less hot stuff

The week’s heat will abate slightly this weekend to merely "random cursing" temperatures, down from its current "angry tirades of profanity at every thing and every one" level. That means there will be bike racing in near tolerable conditions, let’s see which opportunities for bike racing we have available, shall we?

In Alpine, NJ on Saturday, there’s the CRCA Alpine Hill Climb presented by the I Will foundation. Be sure to have your Strava segment recorder warmed up and ready to go.

In Sussex County, NJ over the weekend there’s the Giro Del Cielo on Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday morning in Prospect Park, there’s round 5 of the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup.

And finally on Sunday for the mountain bike racers, there’s the Lewis Morris Challenge.

For the nonracers who use River Road every weekend, will Alpine be open during the time of the CRCA event?

River road will be open during our event; but if you are riding up the climb while the event is on, please do you best to give racers a clear line.

And for those of you that like to travel, see you all in E. Hartford on Sunday for the Keith Berger Memorial.

Stay cool everyone.
