There’s a lot of results to sift through from this past weekend, so let me get my e-prospector head lamp on and find out what happened.
Chronologically on Saturday at the Super Saturday Circuit Race at Branch Brook, Rene Herrera of Kissena won the cat 3 race. Myles Fennell of 3D Racing Team/Tom’s Atlantic Cyclery won the cat 4/5 race. John Durso of Colavita Racing won the masters 35+ race. Robert Ryan of Team Somerset won the masters 45+ race. Results are here.
This lazy reporter is only going to report on the GC at Killington, so if you did well there, please write about yourself in the third person below.
Jacob Tremblay of Kelly Benefit Strategies/LSV won the Pro/1 race overall. Dereck Treadwell won the cat 2 overall. Marti Shea of Destination Cycling won the women’s 1/2 GC. Brendan Rhim of the Killington Mountain School Cycling Team won the cat 3 overall. JB Haglund of Mountainside p/b City Islanders won the cat 4 race. Complete results are here.
Meanwhile in Jersey, we’re still waiting for full internet friendly results from all of the races. But we do have some results.
At Friday’s Manville Cycling Madness Race, Samuel McCadney of District Velocity Racing wonthe cat 3/4 race. Results are here.
On Saturday at The Hills of Somerset County Road Race, David Lozano of Team Type 1 DEVO won ahead of Euris Vidal and Rafael Meran of Foundation. Results are here.
Full results from The Tour of Somerville and Bound Brook haven’t been posted as of this writing. Also unposted are the results from Saturday’s Tour of New York race at FBF, but I can tell you that James Joseph of Mangoseed/WS United won the cat 3/4 race.
I was going to call James Joseph a sandbagger (results this year as a 3: 1, 2, 1, 1, 7) until I saw his racing age is 55. Damn – that guy’s got serious pop for a 55 year-old. Good on him for racing and continuing to get results.
Please do not commence JJ bashing until he causes a crash.
PS – He is a 3/4 for life..
Miguel from Scotto’s got into the break at Manville and got 4th.
JJ won 50+ Somerville against some heavy hitters
I wouldn’t say he’s quitting. He’s just better at park racing where to competition isn’t as stiff. Easier to pose as a 1 in those races….go figure.
he did win Somerville as a 2 last year i think so I don’t think it’s fair to say he’s only good at park races.
Savory is wearing the green jersey at Le Tour de FBF so why you hating?
Two races this weekend, two crashes in the last turn of the race, two guys from the same team causing it. Guys please learn to ride especially when in a break
Winning an out of town race as a Cat 2 is a whole different story that going against heavy hitters in a Pro 1 race…lets keep it real.
If your a Cat 1 or some sort of Pro please don’t hide on Thursday at Rockleigh. All roads lead to Base Camp for all the Cat 1’s in green jerseys.
Savory is a real estate tycoon now, selling high end properties in Manhattan, he does not need bike racing any more.
Somerville photos are here. More photos will continue to be uploaded.

I once heard Scott Savory saved a bus full of school kids from a pack of bears with a pencil and a protractor!
Primo
Jayson Jacobs of CRCA- W&D Racing/NYC Velo took 4th in the cat 4 men’s GC at Killington
3rd!
I got a KOM on Strava this weekend!
They had a good team turnout at KSR and stayed at the Killington summit finish on the final stage yesterday cheering on the finishers – and with extra loud support for the CRCAers. Nice to see racers supporting each other and representing NYC in style. Class act!
Results are up on USA Cycling:

Just a note to many of the 3 and 4 riders, especially those 4s that have just become 3s.
If you can’t handle cornering at high speed than don’t bother mixing it up in the front 10 riders in the last lap of a 3 race.
Just a note to many of the 2 and 3 riders, especially those 3s that have just become 2s.
If you can’t handle cornering at high speed than don’t bother mixing it up in the front 10 riders in the last lap of a 3 race.
Marty Nothstein rode the Cat2s at Sommerville yesterday, it was a bitter sweet feeling when he was announced at the start of the race.
Just a note to all riders.
Just because you wear a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers costume do not assume that you can handle cornering at high speed like a super hero and mix it up in the front of a race.
+1
JJ sandbagged the 50+ race!
Skip Foley & Tony Taylor. Evergreen.
Foley was there? How’d he finish?
Yes, there is a Floyd Bennett Field race tonight. ^:30 start for the 5’s, everybody else at 7PM.

S.Savory was dropped from the race at bound brook, and was like 40th at Sommerville.
Is he quitting bike racing?
Is there decent fishing at FBF? I want to catch me some dinner post-race.
Alex Bremer(CRCA/Foundation) took second in stage 1 at KSR in the PRO/1 field.
